Master Chief Collection: Halo Nightfall won't play.

I played them the same evening on PC, no problems at all.

Then I started the day after them on the X1, no problems anymore!

I purchased Halo Master Chief Collection and I heard that I was supposed to receive a code for Halo: Nightfall movie, but when I try to access it in the menus of the Master Chief Collection it sends me to Halo Waypoint and tells me to purchase it.

 

same here i was really looking forward to watching the episodes.cant believe they still haven't fixed the problem.it should have been done by now.off to a bad start.but i have faith. MS fix it quick. I wanna watch the episodes.

 

This is the only thread I could find about this issue, I Have tried rebooting the Xbox and reinstalling the Halo Channel but I am still being prompted to buy Halo despite the fact I used the code. This is fairly frustrating.

Sorry to hear about the Nightfall issue. If you are still unable to watch Nightfall after trying the steps that I have provided above, please try a few additional steps:

• First, if you have a capture card plugged into your Xbox One, please remove it because you will be unable to watch Halo Nightfall for DRM reasons.
  
• Make sure that there are no guests signed in to your Xbox One console.
• If you purchased a physical copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, please ensure that you're signed in as the profile who redeemed the Halo Nightfall 25 character code. If you purchased the game digitally, please ensure you're signed in with the account
  the game was purchased with.

Give the listed steps a try and let us know if you are continuing to experience the issue.

 

I'm not sure if it's worth bothering posting here but @I'll give it a try.

I'm not able to watch Nightfall at all. I get some message saying that the content cannot be viewed at the moment (or something similar).

I have the physical disc - pre-ordered and full price paid (now selling £25 cheaper!)

I've entered the code and it's been accepted.

I've quit, removed, re-installed etc the Halo Channel app and the MCC updates etc.

I've installed the Nightfall 'extension' to the Halo Channel app.

I've got an Xbox Live Gold account, now set up and running, no difference (I didn't think it was necessary to watch Nightfall, but I thought it wouldn't harm).

I've also noticed that I can't see the terminal cutscenes from the campaign (specifically Halo2 at the moment). They transfer me to halo waypoint but nothing ever comes up.

Why is this happening (or not happening!)?

Is there anything wrong with my account? I've checked it as much as I can, as far as I can tell, all seems good.

MCC installed and updated correctly, gameplay seems to be working ok.

Is there anything I've done incorrectly? When can I expect to see anything. All I see is the free stuff on Halo Channel.

I've also discovered that I'm not eligible to get any of the 'freebies' as I wasn't online during a particular time window. This is a bit annoying, I've paid the full premium but due to commitments (ie work) I've not been able to use it a tenth as often
as I'd like. Hearing of the problems didn't help either, I hung back a bit in the hope that things would have been resolved. I wanted to enjoy it all, not waste time (this being a rather precious commodity!) being annoyed and resolving issues. How does all
this make me less eligible?

Who/how are we to complain to regarding these issues?

Are there departments/emails etc? Microsoft's site has led me here again...

I understand it's almost the new year and I don't expect miracles but it would be nice to communicate my particular problems to the correct people.

Sorry to hear that the issue is continuing to occur. Are you signed in with the profile that redeemed the Halo Nightfall code?

 

I had been frustrated by this too, and had tried the various recommendations here. Then I saw mention of a code. I had previously just assumed that since I owned the game the Halo Channel app would recognize that it was installed (or when I launched the
channel from within the game it would know) and let me watch, but nope! When I saw mention of a code I thought I should look back in the game case and there it was. I entered the code and was able to watch the first episode. So far it seems like it really
wasn't worth the effort but maybe it will get better. :-/

im not having the buy halo error, but i keep running into network connection issues with it, either i get "The Halo Channel is currently unavailable.", or "content currently not available please try again some other time."

Since the issue that you are experiencing appears to be different, I recommend creating a new thread. This way you can receive support specifically tailored to you. Be sure to include the details of the issue as well as any troubleshooting steps that you have
tried. In the meantime, try the following steps:

• Navigate to My games & apps from the homepage of your Xbox One console.
• Select the Apps tab and then navigate to the Halo Channel app.
• Press the Menu button and select Manage app.
• Select Uninstall.
• Once the Halo Channel has uninstalled, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
  
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• Power on your console and navigate to My games & apps.
• While in the apps tab, scroll to the right and select The Halo Channel under the section labeled READY TO INSTALL. Select Install.
  
• Once The Halo Channel app has installed, navigate to My Games & apps and select the Halo Channel.
  
• Under the Featured tab, select Play.

I am having a different issue. I have the hard copy but no paperwork AT ALL came in the case, just the game disk. And I cannot return it at this point. Can I have a code for the series sent to my e-mail? or through snailmail? You can look at my account and
see that i own the game.
