Master Cheif Colloction Halo 2 Legendary Co Op 1 dies the game ends

Hello, My wife and I have been playing Halo Master Cheif Colloction Co Op for Xbox one. We have been able to beat all games in legendary except for Halo 2. For some reason Halo 2 is different the the rest of the Halo games. When one of us dies, the game
ends. Halo tradition has always been when one player dies the other can respawn when no enemies are present. Not in Halo 2. Not sure why Halo 2 is different, but we would like to play it on legendary and be able to play with a spawning option. Please let me
know if there is a fix for this. Thank you

Halo 4 <fix please>

That's weird, well try completing it on Legendary Online CO-OP, I got my Master Chief armor by completing Campaign Co-op on Legendary system link, but anyways if your aiming for achievements you'll get "Bromageddon" too.

 

This is probably a stupid question, but is it possible you have the iron skull activated?

 

I do not think I have the iron skull activated. I have never activated a skull and do not think this one has been activated.

Doing reaserch online, I found that only Halo 2 Master Cheif Colloction has this issue. For some reasons it seems the developers did this when they remastered the game. I am willing to bet any one who has master Cheif Colloction and plays Halo 2 co op will
have the same issue.

Any one who plays Master Cheif Halo 2 Co Op on legendary. All other game difficulties are normal. Only Legendery has this issue.

 

I'll test it out ASAP, I completed Halo 2 LASO Co Op yesterday without any issues, but i'll test it on Legendary and get back to you.

 

JOMOMMA5150, I may not understand what you mean when you say "the game ends" does it restart from last checkpoint or does it kick you back to lobby? Halo 2 (Original for Xbox) when one person died on Legendary it would restart at recent checkpoint. I frequented
the boards back in those days and most had requested for Legendary to be more challenging so they put that in. I know the Iron Skull, as someone stated, will return you to lobby or restart the mission. So, depends on your situation. However, wouldn't surprise
me in the slightest if this were a glitch associated with this title. I've tried for a few months now to play Campaign (Halo 2) online Co-Op and still have issues with either the framerate, or it not loading and kicking everybody.

 

When I said the game ends, I ment it starts at the last check point.

 

It is weird that they would do this only for Halo 2 and not all Halos. I think it's best with a respawnable option. Do you think there is going to be a respawnable option? There is just not enough ammo to beat on legendary Co Op

 

I tested it on my console and everything seemed to work fine in both CoOp Legendary and LASO. I've never heard of It just taking you to the last checkpoint upon death. Maybe try starting a new game with someone online to clear your progress and then retry
locally with your wife?

 

Did you play it on master Cheif collection? I wonder if there is an option or fix. I have looked threw the options and found nothing.

 

when halo 1 was released the public voted on it being to easy so they halo 2 a lot a lot more difficult. part of that is when one of you died it goes back to the previous checkpoint. therefore no spawning system. i personally don't mind it just because im
pretty good at this game but other do fine it annoying.
