Massively slow update

    Massively slow update


    I got the game last night and installed it overnight. When i woke up this morning i started the 15gb title update. It went a normal speed at first untill it hit 75% then it is like a stand still. It have been 8 hours now and im stuck at 98%. Ive checked
    my bandwith usage the whole time during the update and it is saying im only downloading at 154.63 kb/s. When i pause the update and download anything else my bandwith goes up to 6.5mb/s and after that downloads and it starts the mcc update it goes back down
    to 154kb/s again. Anybody have any idea how i can speed this up?

    If having multiple apps open at once is whats causing the problem, that just sounds like a caching issue, they could fix that with software updates.

    The problem with people posting about there slow UI etc, is everybody has a different view on whats considered slow. From the sounds of it some people on the forums still think there systems are massively slow and clunky, were as i think mine runs like a
    dream, only issues i've ever had have been from update previews.

    Map Voting?

    It would be nice if it was in most games. Must slow down searches though for a specific mode, then map. Unless maybe the game is massively populated like CoD.

    MordifiedOne, sorry you are having problems. Try to unplug your Ethernet cord and power supply in the back of the Xbox One. Wait 30 seconds plug your Ethernet and power supply in the back, then press your power button for the Xbox One. Your console will
    restart, then follow my steps on how to clear local saved games. Don't hesitate to private message me, if you have questions.

    Yep it has to download updates first.

    The update is apparently massive at 6GB. On slow connections this will rakes hours.

    12 hours and still installing from disc

    A game update downloads at the same time as the disc installs.

    Bad DNS servers can send you to a slow download server.

    It's a right pain. It's as though an ISP sends all it's customers to the same download servers causing massive slow downs as everyone is trying to download at the same time.

    Changing DNS means you can get sent to a different download server which makes a massive difference in speed.

    I've had this problem on both my xbox one and ps4 and annoys the hell out of me having to regularly change DNS settings.
