I just attempted to sign into my Xbox Live account on a digital copy of Mass Effect 1 after booting it with my wife's account (it wouldn't let me boot it with mine), and it gave me this message.

I don't understand why it's giving me this, as I've played the game on my profile before even though I bought it on her account-- I went into my hard drive to check the data and everything. But apparently I can't play the game because suddenly it decided
I need to be the one to have bought it? ***.

I googled the problem and wasn't able to find anything helpful, does anyone know how to fix this problem? I just want to get my game finished so I have a completed file to import to ME2, which at least I have on disc to avoid this nonsense.

Cannot play Mass Effect 3 using certain profile.

Hey Tyrantis! Is this only Mass Effect 3 that you experience this issue with? Or has this occurred in any other games? Also, does this issue persist on your profile while not connected to Xbox LIVE?

playing Mass Effect 3 on a different profile

When I played the original Mass Effect I was not on xbox live then when Mass Effect 2 came out I was on xbox live but I just played it on my old profile. But now that Mass Effect 3 has multiplayer that can effect the single player game I would like to play
on my xbox live profile. Is then anyway to transfer my saves from my old profile to my new one.

I forgot to mention that we recently performed a system transfer from an older X360, which was definitely the one I previously played ME1 on. However, we did a License Transfer and everything, so I don't understand why it shouldn't let me play. Does anyone
know how I can fix this without having to shell out $20 on the game JUST to get to the end of it for ME2?

Sounds like you purchased a new console. When you do a License Transfer to the new console you must also redownload any content that was purchased on the other console or the licenses will not transfer over.

If you've done the License Transfer then simply head to Settings>Accounts>Download History and start the redownload of any and all content you've purchased. There is no need to delete the content first, simply start the download and each one will only take
about 30 seconds.

You need to do a license transfer on "Xbox B."

1) Sign in to Xbox B under your profile (the purchasing profile).

2) Do license transfer under your profile.

3) Re-download Mass Effect under your profile.

4) Sign out.

Mass Effect is now licensed to Xbox B and your wife can play the full version under her profile while you play your games on Xbox A.

For future reference, if you want to keep everything except Rock Band stuff on Xbox B, then buy all games stuff while logged into Xbox B and buy all Rock Band stuff while logged into Xbox A. The default console license first attaches to the console of purchase
if bought on the console.

it has to be the purchasing console otherwise the purchasing gamertag must be signed into live at all times for the other profiles to use the content
