Free is also good and to their credit, the Extended Cut fixes a lot of the issues with the shipped endings. So many in fact that you have to wonder why they weren't like that in the first place.

Personally I like to head-canon the Citadel DLC as post ending content. It's a far better resolution to Shepard's story than what the shipped and Extended Cut provide.

 

This will be the generation of HD re-mastering... I can see it now.

Not really a problem though. There's a market for them and the job usually gets farmed out to a newer lesser known studio.

 

As much as I enjoyed the series I wouldn't want to playthrough it again, I'll wait for Mass Effect 4.

 

If I wanted to revisit think I would just play the originals, as there wasn't much wrong with them. Can't see myself paying a large sum for reskins!

 

Yeah, don't think I could drag myself through all that again.... I did enjoy them, although the earlier ones were a tad long winded in places.

Isn't ME4 meant to be a completely new story with new characters anyway?

 

I believe it is yes, so a shep save would be redundant.

 

I was kinda thinking they might transfer over some of the other smaller decisions that you made throughout the trilogy, certain characters surviving, that kind of thing..as much as the new story would allow anyway

I wouldn't mind this. Hope they fully update ME1's combat to the likes of ME2/ME3 though, as ME1 was awful shooting wise.

 

Considering they were on steam for a couple of quid a piece recently, why anyone would pay £40-£50 again for these for better textures and higher res makes no sense.

 

Would have to include something new for me to buy again.

It's such a huge investment in time and money to just play a "shiny" version.

Give me ME4 with the option of ME1-3 as in engine DLC.

 

Considering they only discussed the idea I personally don't see it happening.

Even as a big Mass Effect fan the only way I'd likely consider buying the set is if they really went back and pretty much remade the games textures etc. to bump up the graphics considerably, because if all they're thinking is a resolution bump then I can
grab the entire trilogy on PC for that
