    Mass Effect Legendary Edition problem


    I just got Mass Effect Legendary Edition today, pop it in and nothing happens, I get a check your disk error (on both disks)

    It's brand new, no scratches or blemishes and all of my other hundred or so games are reading fine.

    Xbox One S BTW, got the game from Walmart if that helps.

    Tried everything shy of returning the game, for some reason it seems to be working on my nephew's Xbox One X, but won't read on my One S or my brother in laws One S.

    Literally same thing just happened to me. All my other games work expect mass effect, it reads check disc on both discs.

    I don't have easy access to good internet.

    So all you did was update the OS and it worked ok after that?

    I updated to the latest OS on the One S (offline as I don't have anything but mobile net atm) and ran a laser lens cleaner through it for good measure and now it's reading the disk fine.

    As other disks where working fine I'm pretty sure the disk cleaner was overkill.

    You might want to add what version of Xbox OS a game needs on a game case so people don't just assume their brand new $60 game is defective...
