Mass Effect DLC Issue

When I installed my mass effect disc into my system it would load to the main screen and then prompt me to download the DLC saying that I need to download it in order to be able to play the game. When I went to the dlc page in the store it said the dlc was
only available as a bundle with the bundle of mass efffect. I own the dlc but in a special disk that came with the collectors tin of the game! So when I called in to ask about it they told me in support to put in my dlc disc so I can download the dlc and play
the game as regular.

Except the disc with the dlc isn't backwards compatible so the system won't read it. So now I'm stuck with a game I'm so close to finishing that I can't use because I bought the special edition of the game that came with the dlc instead of buying the digital
dlc...and sadly I don't have expendable money to rebuy what I've already bought regardless of how cheap it is.

Was hoping there'd be some sort of work around that can be done!

The Xbox One should read your DLC disc. Have you tried putting it in? Does it give you any messages or error codes if you have?

When I put the disc in it gives me a message telling me to go to the website to look at a list of backwards compatible games and gives me an error code.

 

Have you tried power cycling your console? Press and hold the power button down for 5-7 seconds until the console powers down. Then wait until the light on the power brick turns a solid orange. Proceed to unplug the power cable from the console and wait
about 2 minutes.

 

Tried that, disc still just pops the link to the list of backwards compatible games.

Hi, Mass Effect now contains all DLC, Just delete and re-install the game, the dlc should now be included in the game.

No, Saints Row IV DLC is not included.

 

So after someone here posted that the dlc was now included I uninstalled and reinstalled and still the store wanted me to buy the dlc and my dlc disk would not be read, problem is still unresolved.
