    Hi all,

    So I still have my old Xbox 360 black which works wonderfully and had a second hand copy of Mass Effect 2 on hand for a rainy day, which I decided was two days ago. II install disc one to my Hdd log on to Cerebrus, buying all the dlc xcept for the appearance
    packs and the interactive story. I import my ME 1 char. Crash. No problem, saw it was a recurring issue on the web, so I restart. Works! Play through the game, zero problems. Until Illium. Also saw on the web this was an issue, however, my problem was "Disc
    unreadable, please clean with a soft cloth,etc" No problem! I delete my char as well as the launcher information, clear the cache, then purchase the games on demand version. Import, restart. Crash again! It will not let me get to Illium. Im thinking this is
    a dlc issue (can hardly have a disc unreadable on a digital copy, yet there it is) so I log on to EA to make sure my xbox live account is linked, yet it was.

    Running out of ideas here. Before I fill in the form to get my digital copy reimbursed (kind of bought it for no reason it seem) only thing I havent tried is deleting and redownloading the dlc since I also tried a license transfer (who knows?) but I have
    to wait since I only have a max of 20 gb of download a month with my provider. Anyone have any suggestions? Would contacting microsoft directly help at al? Oh, also tried deleting and redownloading my gamertag before the transfer of licenses, just in case.

    So, um...help?

    Hi,

    The Xbox 360 operating system is very small and extremely limited in its error reporting. All read errors on Xbox 360 are reported the same way, whether they are errors reading discs or errors reading hard drives. If your hard drive is failing and the
    game didn't fully install/download, you can - and likely will - get read errors. And like I said, because the programming of the 360 OS is quite limited, all of these read errors will report the same error message.

    Hard drives are mechanical and will fail with age.

    Unfortunately, you'll need to download the game again, but this time, you're best doing this on a different hard drive or USB storage device.

    Only thing i could suggest mate would be to contact support.xbox.com and let them know about the problem with the digital copy they might be able to point you in the right direction as to what steps you could do to solve your issue

    Question pertinent to On Demand version

    There is no difference between the saves from the physical copy and the Games on Demand version, I own both myself.

    Saves created while playing the Games on Demand version will import into Mass Effect 2 without issue.

    BF3 is on two discs. If they haven't put Mass Effect 2, 3, or games like Lost Odessy on Games on Demand, then they won't put BF3 up.
