Mass Effect 2 & 3 on XBone?

When I check the XBL store on my XBone for either ME2 or 3 the store page says that the game is unavailable.
If I purchase either or both games from the XBL store on my 360, will I be able to access and download a backwards compatible version of either or both games on my XBone?

The list of currently available backwards compatible games for the XBone, found in the link below, lists both ME2 and 3 despite the XBL store not allowing me to download them. Is this an error on the XBL store or am I expected to own them digitally? I already
have ME1 on my XBone but did not need to own it digitally.

Only the disc version of those games is backwards compatible unless you purchase them digitally through EA Access.

 

Wait, are you saying I can put my ME2 and 3 discs in my XBone and they'll play? I didn't think the XBone could do disc based backwards compatibility, I thought it only did digital. I have a digital version of ME1 on my XBone but I never owned it digitally.

 

Backwards compatibility works with discs or digital. Some games will only work one way or the other though.

 

I normally play ME2 and ME3 with the original X360 disk, inserting it into the X1. On the first disc insertion, it will notify you of downloading a game update, but actually download the console-compatible version.

 

Correct, Xbox One Backward Compatibility works for both Disc and Digital copies.
