Mass Effect 1: No destinations available in galaxy map

have you looked at a walkthrough to see if you didn't forget anything?

I've always enjoyed the Galaxy map song in Mass Effect.

So... soothing...

It tells you the exact location in the Journal, where it will list primary and secondary assignments.

Once you know where you want to go you can just go to the Galaxy map and select your destination.

My online research indicated players who purchase the game on disk typically have no problem.

It is players who get cracked games or purchase from Microsoft marketplace that have the problems.

As an aside, It seems more common to PC players than console.

I suspect the version I purchased from MS marketplace requires a patch that I am not receiving.

Unfortunately it appears things get difficult to resolve when you purchase a game from a re-seller such as marketplace as it becomes difficult to attribute responsibility for problems if they are related to the original product of the lack of coordinated
patching.

I acknowledge this could be a game or game play issue and will check dedicated ME 1 forums. But, as I note above I think it is worthwhile to investigate the MS game sale/update/missing patch angle as well.

Hi Baker,

The sale may of went through the Microsoft marketplace. However, patches and updates come from the game servers not Microsoft. The only thing the Xbox console helps with in any game is the launch. Once you hit start the game server takes it from there. So
if you are missing a patch or update, then that would come from the developer/publisher.
