Marvels Avengers Battle for Earth Freezes on Opening Menu

Cleared the cache, reinstalled the game and everything and it still froze. I don't understand what would have changed that this no longer plays. Is there a server in the background that ran the game and the company shut it off?

if anyone has played power up heroes it seems to be like that. theres a two point action for each of the moves.i liked power up heroes and if this game becomes cheaper i'll be getting it.

 

Submitted a support ticket. Will let you know if I get an answer that works.

 

I too came to the game today to find this crash still happening. It's a disgrace that a patch can be issued that stops the game from being playable and it is not immediately rectified. Absolute bloody disgrace.

 

Same issue here, this was one my sons favorite game. Game kept freezing so I installed it and now can't even find it to reinstall it. I bought it digitally and essentially can't access the game. Very disappointing.

 

I'm having the same issue with this game freezing and my son is really bummed. He has been waiting along time to get this game and now we can't even play it. I have been searching for a fix but I can't seem to find anything. I bought the disc and I'm
tempted to take it back and get a different game altogether. Very frustrated!!!

 

I have this issue too - i had had the game for ages but never go around to playing it. Tried today and it does not work typical!

 

i can confirm clearing system cache and then not taking the latest update works.

After several tries I found the problem. After last patch everyone has a uplay account gets a freeze in the main menu if you try to play while online, if you don't have it the game will work.

 

Now my main account has a uplay account associated to so I can't play this game anymore unless Ubisoft releases a new patch but i doubt it...

 

Same problem here and already opened a ticket at Ubisoft's Technical Support. After several nonsenses instructions, they considered my case as solved. I hadn't any help from them.

- They asked me to clear system cache, but told them that when you start the game it downloads the update again. (why they don't fix the patch?)

- They asked me to change video settings on my TV. (realy?)

- They asked me to verify for scratchs on my disk. (even after told them that it was a digital copy!)

- They asked me to install the disk on my HD. (even after told them TWICE that it was digital copy!)

- They asked me to try to run "my game disc" on a different Xbox. (Seriously!?! Even after written in bold letters that THE DISC DOES NOT EXIST, DIGITAL GAME COPY!!!)

- They asked me to install the game in a different HD. (even that the same HD had no problem with the other 90 games installed on it)

In other words, unfortunately we are by ourselves. Ubisoft won't solve the problem and won't support its own games.

If anyone find a solution, please share.

 

I had already realized what Blue Agave stated here. If you clear the cache and do not download the patch the game works fine.

The problem is that you only can play offline and you can't download the ingame Ubisoft Club rewards.

 

Same for me, i'm sure Ubisoft won't solve this problem, now i'm going to sell the game because i don't want to play a half-game...

 

We have to push Ubisoft Technical Support altogether for a solution. Otherwise, we won't play the game that we paid for.
