March 4th Update (STILL CANT INVITE PLAYERS TO GAME)

So the March 4th update came for Xbox One and boy was I excited. I was relieved to finally be able to party with my friends and invite them to game. The moment arrived and one of my friends agreed to test how this works.

From the main screen I loaded up Call Of Duty Ghosts. I snapped party and clicked on invite friends. So far so good. Once I saw my friend, I clicked “invite to party and game” and I now began to chat. However, my friend was nowhere to be seen in my game.
I wanted to start a multiplayer match but he was still not popping up I was at the game type menu in Call Of Duty where it gives you the option to add another controller so I know I was in the right area. My friend tried joining game and said he kept getting
messages saying “not in a valid game mode or type” Both NAT Types are Open

We tried going to the friends list and doing it that way, both of us back and forth quitting the party, starting a party, sending game invites…you name it, we tried it and it simply just doesn't work. This update did nothing in this area to improve my experience
at all. What in the world could I possibly be doing wrong? Oh by the way in case anyone is wondering, in the party there is an option to either allow people to join on their own or to lock it for invite only and I made sure I tried this both ways and it also
did nothing.

It sucks, I can’t do a simple task such as play with friends like I have been doing on an older console for almost a decade.

I hope someone has an answer because I tweeted to Major Nelson and didn't get a response.

Cannot Co-op with friends in Dead Rising 3

I give up to play COOP ... i will wait for the next Xbox One update of the 4th march with the new party system .... First time that i cant play coop game on XBOX brand ....

 

Xbox One Black Screen whenever I press home button while playing Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag.

This is a known issue that was caused by the February update. The March update, set to be out on March 4th, is fixing this.

 

Considering the error message that your friend is getting it's a NAT problem. Can you try a couple of things?

1. Can you join a party with your friend without being in a game?

2. Can you join a game with your friend without being in a party?

If both of those are working/not let me know and I'll try to hook you up with the party/multiplayer team. Also, if your buddy is getting errors can he/you post them? That may help determine out what's going on.
