What day is update being released?

March 4th it should be arriving.

 

There has been no official word as of yet. Assuming that it was like the previous patch, it will rollout continuously throughout the day, so there probably isn't a set time that you will get it.

 

MS said March 4, before the release of Titanfall. Also MS Store, has accessories (Headset adapter, Media remote) that need the update, to work right, dated for March 7. So March 4 -7, is my guess.

 

Actually the big update is set to roll out and become available starting 3-7-14. If you have your instant on power setting on then all you have to do is shut your system down the night before and it will get the update automatically.

The update is supposed to line up with the release of the new accessories, Headsets and Media Remote, and include new drivers for these and a controller update.

 

The second major update for Xbox One will be available tomorrow March 4th.

If you have the standby mode enabled your Xbox will download it. You can tell it took the update because "Xbox On" won't work. Also, if want to force the update because you have your Xbox on and heard it was rolling out. You can turn off your Xbox, wait
about 10-15 minutes, you'll see the Xbox logo on the front of the console blink twice, and that's how you know the Xbox downloaded the update.

You can then manually power up your Xbox from the power button.

The update will roll out in the early morning hours, approximately 3 AM EST usually. The roll out times may vary by region.

Think back, Feb. 11 update did not come out until Feb 14.

Yeah I wouldn't hold my breath on it coming out today.

 

It would be nice if they could put a countdown timer for the release of patches like they have up for the release of titanfall on the xbox home page! We all know when the half-baked games come out what we want to know is when the patches to go along with
this disaster of a console will be rolled out!

 

The masta you knew what the risk was buying a new console and what it entailed.

 

this was my argument for the longest time, NJdevils, but now that the calendar has turned to march, i don't think it's very valid at this point. they need to step their game up, or thousands of people will be jumping ship to ps4(which while it has issues,
they will be new issues instead of the same ones we've had for 4 months on x1).

 

I have said to myself if the xb1 isn't up to the usability and functionality of the 360 after 12 months then im seriously going to consider moving over to the ps4.

I have always supported MS and the Xbox but feel like they really dropped the ball on this one.

just the fact that there's no wireless chat headset is a massive inconvenience to me, cant stand being tethered to the controller and there's no way im putting my friends through the use of Kinect for chat.

Also as the dashboard is so unfinished all xb1 owners should have the option to beta test new updates.

 

Ya I miss the wireless headset. Hopefully soon
