March 2017 Xbox 1 UI Update - Your opinions of it

What's your thoughts of the new Xbox 1 UI Update that just came out this week?

When you navigate the UI using your controller, the Microsoft Operating System slash Software slash Update; it loads stuff FASTER. So an OS performance isn't based off solely by your internet, but by the software running on a console with an 8 core processor,
    rawr.

I do wish they had kept the Snap feature, so you can watch YouTube on one area of your screen and play a game on the larger viewing area. I have already seen new threads published this week of complaints on how users can't do this since the new system update.

I still love the current UI version on Xbox 360, beau-tee-fully laid out including our avatars which YES is an XBOX LIVE FEATURE. And Xbox 360's UI has more of a kid/teen/school layout feel. With Xbox 1, it still feels like Windows 10 Jargon. Boxes and black.
But I've added my own picture for the dash background. People may say I got Xbox to play games not look at the dashboard. But... you have no choice if you want to look at the dashboard or not, as it and the UI are the key software official from Microsoft which runs
    your console.

    So far I give it a 7.75/10.

    :)

Fix Your UI and Audio Codex!!!!!

A lot of people are complaining about what the April 2017 Update did to Xbox 1's UI.

Xbox 360's current UI is superior and less uglier. It's MUCH MUCH MUCH more user friendly. It has avatars. And there's none of this littered with hundreds of Windows 10 boxes all over the UI it's like a maze of boxes. And I've had Xbox 1 since it launched!
So I know what it's like! I feel your pain. Even when Xbox 1 launched, a lot of 10-15 year olds didn't like the Windows 8 like UI Xbox 1 use to have. They should put Xbox 360 software engineers on the Xbox 1 UI design team.

March 2017 Xbox 1 UI Update - Your opinions of it

Erm, smileskybird, you're in NZ right? Well, I'm across the pond (Australia) and I've just checked my console update status and... NOTHING HAS CHANGED! Since when did the new update come out "this week" for Australasia, or are you part of the Insiders program?
Either way, I cannot comment on the new update because NOTHING HAS CHANGED (at least in this neck of the woods).

  5. I dislike it, since the update I have been unable to play Forza Horizon 3 (Which is downloaded digitally and happens to be my favorite game right now)

A Special Message For Those Who Hate Microsoft's Dash Updates!

Just like in previous years, there are risks of being in the Preview Program. You're a lab rat if you are in it. Your console and computer Operating System is essential as it is the sole piece of software that controls your device. I've heard comments from
those in it, say "it wiped my HDD" "it deleted my friends list" "it crashed my Xbox which has an 8 CORE AMD APU". You could even get a virus on your console from an incorrectly made OS version. It isn't properly coded and ready which is why Microsoft hasn't
released it to the Public. Genuine Xbox 360 consoles don't get viruses. One of the reasons why is Microsoft makes Updates on it, mandatory. And they don't do this Preview Program on it. I think everyone should be running the most up to date OS on their consoles.
But yes, a lot of people are complaining about the Late March 2017 Update. Don't worry, Microsoft will surprise us with their next Update, due out in April 2017. They Update the console OS pretty much on a monthly bases. Maybe I should march to the Official
Feedback Site and say Hey, your March 2017 sucks, then link the first page of the Xbox 1 general discussion forum on a site they own, as all of the first page is littered in I hate the March Update threads. Then they'd be like.... o_O.... Oh, we did something
    wrong.
