March 2014 update

Issue is:

all my mates have installed the update already

my xbox wont even acknowledge the fact there is an update

i cant play online with anyone cuz they are all using the new party chat interface

Anyone got any suggestions as to what i can do?

The update is a preview right now. It was offered to some people. You could have one of your friends try to add you to the preview as there is a forum area for doing this, but everybody will have the update soon and I do not think they are accepting any
more for the preview. Likely you will just have to wait until everybody gets the update.

 

The update went live to everyone last night and into this morning.

 

Make sure you console is in instant on mode and that automatic updates is enabled.

Your console will then download the update when switched off. This usually happens at offpeak times like the early hours of the morning or during the daytime.

If you use energy saving mode then it will take longer for you to get the update.

 

not sure if i have the update or not it doesnt look like it does in the pics/videos. the only thing i recognize is the find friend. and then its not even in the friends thing n then its not even on the actual friends list neither is the favorites thing etc
i have to go to the your friends tab too see it am i doing something wrong

Same problem with my console too.

All my friends have the update so it is stopping party and multiplayer with them because I don't have the new update.

I've tried restarting, leaving it off for a long period of time, changing start up settings and restarting console. Etc. Etc.

any other 'suggestions'

is there anyone who has had the same problem, but managed to resolve it?

The update is LIVE no need for them to go to a forum. Everyone gets it

 

They are slowly rolling out the update to everyone. They aren't letting everyone do it at once, otherwise it would be so much traffic on their servers. The update came out yesterday (3/4) and mine just updated today (3/5) around 3:00 PST. So, just wait
for it and it will update eventually.

 

C'mon xbox... been waiting all day. Still no update.
