Mapping more than one wireless controller differently

Anyone know if it's possible to map 2 wireless controllers (Not Elite) differently on the same xbox one x? Or does it always map each controller the same? I am trying to swap the RT/LT buttons on one controller and leave them un-swapped
on the other controller. Any help would be great. I basically have one left handed child and one right handed child who play the same games but want their own controller configured differently.

Sorry to hear about the issue with controller. You can check the
Button mapping settings. The way you describe it sounds as if they assigned differently. Basically want to restore the button mapping to default settings.

Yes you can map each controller differently if you wish. The Xbox accessories app recognizes which controller you have connected at any one time, so will show the the way you have mapped the controllers.

 

Thanks mate, I'll try that again. I did have 2 different coloured controllers come up on the xbox accessories app on the xbox, but when I tested it, it did the same thing. Basically the last saved config came up again on the other
controller. I'll try again
