    Far Cry 5 (X1)

    There is a large map but no mini map like GTA - can't say I have missed it though? There is a compass like guide on the top of the screen and floating map markers to follow on screen so navigation is really easy

    You can't reasonably compare Forge to ground-up editors like Far Cry's. Forge is a map editor in the strictest sense, meaning you edit an existing map. Far Cry's is a map creator.

    Haven't heard anything yet. I hope so. If there isn't, then i'm not buying it. I like making maps.

    Ubi Soft needs to go back to the Far Cry 2 lobby system idea of people can create their own lobby to play in and have a playlist of maps they pick. Then people can vote on the maps to skip if they want. Where Far Cry 3 didn't have this feature.

    The map editor has been a staple of the Far Cry franchise so I'd be very surprised if the latest and greatest iteration isn't included in FC4.

    because far cry 2 was terrible, but had an awesome map editor, and far cry 3 has awesome gameplay but a *** map editor. I'd still have FC3 if the map editor was good and the community didn't go back to fc2 and other games.

    Mine only freezes before I join in the map editor. Soon as I click map editor it freezes sometimes. But a hard reboot of the xbox then everything is peachy.

    The UFO series of games used random maps to generate missions, Farcry on the original XBox had a map editor, and Trials HD has a course editor, and some PC games have map editors on some games.

    The problem is that the map would have to be generated by either one of the players consoles in the lobby, or by the server software, both is do-able, but rather complex... But here's hoping eh!
