Many Series X and S games poor performance

    Hello,

I am noticing a trend of games having various issues on the series x.

    Background: Series X lastest firmware- 60hz 4K Samsung TV- 65 RU7300

    For example:

Gears 5: Lag and shutter all the time. May or may not be frame rate issues. Load points stop and lag. Everytime. Doesnt feel like 60fps with these issues.

Assassins Valhalla- After most recent SX update for screen tearing: Feels like downgraded graphics such as non texurized details. Looking at photos before and after update can easily tell such as ground looks way more blurry and lacking detail etc. Also
still shutter/framerrate dips and screen tearing issues.

Call of Duty Cold War and Assassins Crash frequently still. Not crashing console as much though since most recent patches.

Blu Ray Player on Series X:

WAY TOO LOUD. Seriously this cant be acceptable. Can we update it? Maybe figure out how to have it run more quietly? Also a complete waste of a player. That is for all 4k blu ray disc films I have tried out so far. Dolby Vision anyone?

    Controller:

My new controller that came with the console has vibration issues. It no longer vibrates for Call of duty Cold War and I feel in general it isnt working anymore correctly. No I do not think it is defective. Yes I believe it is a software issue. Yes I updated
the controller and yes I have tried to manually change profiles. And yes I have even tried on a second new controller. Hence software*

    :)

    Series S vs Series X ?

Hi Jevgeni. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

The Xbox Series X is the world's most powerful console, it provides the best performance and graphics in games optimised for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One X.

The Series S is significantly cheaper, but is not as powerful. While it still offers good performance and image quality, the Series X is noticeably better in some games. Despite this, many of the performance and graphical features from the Series X are also available on the Series S.

Overall, the Xbox Series X will provide the best gaming experience. But if you're looking to save some money, the Xbox Series S is an excellent choice. The money you save from buying the Series S could be used to purchase some games for your new console.

For more information, this page offers a comparison between both consoles: https://www.xbox.com/consoles/compare

Please reach back if you have further questions.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

Get a Series S and keep my One X or get a Series X and sell my One X?

Do Xbox One games play better on the Series X? Would I really notice the difference in performance between the Series S and Series X on a 4K LG TV bought for £300 in 2019?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Yes, many games that had performance issues with hitting their target frame rate of 60fps on the Xbox One or One X largely run flawlessly on the Series X. They can do this because they can use the Series X hardware to power their way through these games that struggled to run on the previous hardware.

The Series S is technically a downgrade compared to the old One X. Yes, the series S has a faster CPU and more advanced GPU in that it is capable of Ray Tracing, but the One X graphics processor is still faster. The Series S is an entry level console for people who have never owned a console (or an Xbox console) before. The Series S isn't a 4K (3840x2160) console either. Most games run under 1440P (2560x1440) which will not look great on a 4K TV. So, yes, you would most certainly notice the difference in picture quality.

The Series X can also play all of your disc based Xbox games, and has more internal storage.

If I buy the Xbox one Hogwarts Legacy will I be able to play also on Xbox series X/S after is it compatible ?

Virtually all Xbox One games are compatible

It will not take advantage of the resolution and features of Series console. It will deliver Xbox One levels of performance on Series S, One X on Series X
