    Many questions

    Hi guys,

I desperately need information that I'm not able to find anywhere.

First I will move to live in Thailand next month I used to live in Switzerland so my Xbox one is a European one. I stayed in Vietnam and wanna buy games so I tried to find gift cards (I do not have a credit card) they only had us gift card and men I struggled
so hard to top them up had to change my area for us buy game there and reset my console to my original settings. Anyone knows if it will be the same in Thailand? I mean I guess they will only have us gift cards right?

My second question is I plan to buy if I can find it coz it seems very challenging a xbox one x there? Will it be an Asian model or a US model? I have no clue. According to that could I move easily my European gold live account there? And will it work as
it used to be because I do speak French and I would like my console still set up and play in my language.

If anyone have any clue or answer I would deeply appreciate it! Thanks by advance ✌️

    :)

    Many security questions.

I'll try to answer your questions to the best of my ability.

    1. Change email associated with account.

    support.xbox.com/.../microsoft-account-faq

    2. I would recommend creating a brand new account for your son instead of letting him use the one with the credit card on it. This is the best method for preventing accidental purchases. Don't worry. So long as the console is the original one that the
DLC was purchased on your son will have no problems accessing the content.

    3. You can set the email address you would like to be contacted through via the following link:

    live.xbox.com/.../ContactPreferences

    4. As for the Xbox One console your question is a two-fold answer. The same gamertag can be used simultaneously on the Xbox One and Xbox 360. However, all gamertags must have their own unique email address. Payment info can be shared as it is between
    my wife and myself.

Hope my answers helped you out.

  3. Many security questions.

Hey there, please bare with me whilst I try to explain everything fully so that I can receive (hopefully) the best possible solution for our many problems.

Firstly I would like to change the email address associated with this "" Account, because the email on the account is no longer in use.

Secondly, we have entered a mobile number for protection purposes but this isn't enough in the way of protecting what is downloaded (by my 6 year old) and so we would like to password protect the Debit Card attached to the account.

Third, I do have an outlook.com email and would like to ensure that all information from xbox and the 360/live services come through to me (via email) so I can monitor his (6 year olds) usage.

The reason for all of these questions is simply put, my six year old son is now the sole owner of this old 360 console. My husband, will be purchasing xbox One at some point and so my final question is. Is it possible to have two Xbox live accounts, using
the same email and same card options?

The hubs, himself is the one asking me to do all of these things to protect what is download from our son but is also asking me things that I do not understand. I am not a gamer myself, the account email attached is my old account and I can't access it via
MSN or outlook anymore, due to not remembering the password for it. So hopefully, you can understand and sympathize with my dilemma's and my lack of knowledge with all things xbox. Thank you to all who read and any who respond with a solution.

Well i have my answer to all of the issues i had with the Xbox 1, unfortunately the answer came today from Sony and the answer is the Playstation 4, no "check ins", no limitations on used games, no limitations on sharing games, etc. Microsoft may not care
about the gamers anymore but Sony seems to get the hint and to push the point home they are releasing the Playstation 4 for only $399!!! Hello Playstation 4 goodbye Xbrick One.

I REALLY want Microsoft to read and understand that the forums are filled with people that are RAGE angry for the announcements regarding the Xbox One.

First of all; let's say that I am in the military, and over seas. Let's say that I am deployed. Let's say I plug my Xbox One into a television to play a game to relax and unwind. Let's say it lets me...for a day. It's going to brick and NOT allow me to play
again until I get internet access?

What about the consumer on a limited budget. Internet bill goes lapse for a few days; and the XboxOne owner now has an expensive paper weight in front of the television? Never has a console EVER been required to be connected to ANYTHING but the television
being played on. (This is ridiculous and unnecessary.)

Secondly: The information on the disc belongs to the game developer. [Butt$#!t] If it's never been an issue before now; then why the outcry for "Protecting the games?" I trade, and loan out games; thus driving up interest in games from friends who borrowed
them; and garnering more sales for the game developers by convincing that friend to spend money on their OWN copy of the game.

Not to mention that the one company that helped out Microsoft and Xbox more than any other...Game4t0p...who will promote games that they can have traded in, and promote the existing games on the market. Without ability to buy used games, Xbox will KILL a
LOT of their core gamers purchases. Not to mention the shrinking sales from said corporation who won't push products that they themselves cannot see a profit in themselves...(And now MICROSOFT via Xbox Live wants to reach into my pocket as well?)

Thirdly; what about the once optional Kinect? Now it seems that I am required to sue it weather I like it or not? Yet, I am promised anonymity from the kinect that's in front of my television in the bedroom. Sorry; but if I am required to be online; that's
a poke in the eye. The fact that I could be watched while spending time with my significant other...nah.

Lastly; These are but a few of the top grievances raised by existing consumers. If taken a side by side comparison; then one can only note that Sony simply made an Xbox 360 with a Sony logo. Microsoft has been leading the way in advancement, and customer
service; and has EASILY turned players to their console, and way of playing games. With all of the announced issues; and seemingly lack of interest in changing by Microsoft, or Xbox Live; one can see that Microsoft turned left; and the community turned right.

There are several months between now and the projected release date; and I would rather have options rather than mandates. Keep in mind that this is a console. This is a glorified entertainment center that can be easily managed for home entertainment. All
the extras should be options; and the consumer should NOT have to be responsible for internet service; Xbox Live membership; as well as an extra fee to play a game; or for that matter; be required to play connected to the internet for a single player game.

The issues are simple; and it's merely a matter of Microsoft, and Xbox Live to suck it up, and get back to basics; and create an outstanding console without all the prerequisites to simply use the thing. PLEASE take the possible consumers into consideration...because
    at this point...I may be looking at...dare I say it...a piece of $h!t 4.

Please save me from this by fixing your system requirements; and get back to listening to the consumers that got you to where you are today.

@Pfeest...."While it may be true that MS won't profit off of this" MS wil profit... They say that used games will work.. BUT they must be processed thru PARTICIPATING retailers.. in other words there will be a Licensing fee for retailers to be on
the list.. Which MS wil collect.. and that cost will just get passed on to gamers.. Either by higher prices for games or lower trade in values.... Either way..You the gamer are getting shafted...

I take issue with the resale/rental of games policy in particular. When I buy a game, I should have the right to sell it or trade it to whomever I see fit. While it may be true that MS won't profit off of this, they have enabled publishers to reclaim ownership
of a product that has already been sold to me. If you buy a car and want to sell it, the original manufacturer is not entitled to one penny of the resale price. Same thing with a house, books, cd's, movies or any other consumable item I can think of. I fully
support the publishers right to defend against piracy of titles. They should also be able to work out arrangements with the companies that rent out titles to ensure that they receive some form of compensation. That being said, they are not entitled in any
way shape of form to profit twice off of the sale of one copy of any game. Once I buy it, I own it. If I chose to sell it I should be able to do so to whoever I please. I have no problem with MS or the publishers verifying to make sure that I am no longer
able to play the downloaded title on my Xbox One once it's been sold....but that should be the extent of their involvement in the resale market.

Well that's sweet. Thank you for the reply also. Today (if they clarify things) will most likely be the deciding factor for us if we will save up for one. We were excited to see it unveiled, but that quickly tarnished with the possible no rentals policy.
We've used Gamefly for years and have used Redbox when we get free codes for game rentals. I know lots of people bring up how people should be able to pay the $60 if they can afford a console and dsl. That doesn't mean money isn't tight for us, or others.
Especially after making a large purchase like a new console. It will just be a downer to not be able to play as many games now because of the lack of rentals. Also... Happy Wars! That's just tragic.
