how to expand usb ports without sacrificing draw power for the peripherals.

how to extract audio via hdmi extractor AND passthrough both vrr,120hz rr, with zero latency AND again passthrough all of that theough a hdmi to display port adapter for monitors that dont have hdm2.1 only have that bandwidth for their display ports. AND AGAIN passthrough a capture card device that will deliver all these mechanisms to a pc (which i will need to be informed on which elgato capture card device will deliver all these different adaptors without sacrificing anything to the end result)(i want to be informed on both at least 1080p 60hz and 4k 60hz options, while not sacrificing anything for the monitor delivery even though there will be 4 different adaptors attached to the xbox)... this is because the twitch capture app is not satisfactory as it only delivers 360p.

why is the xbox audio so low and to expand it to higher quality it's a paid service via dolby digital? really? youre charging a monthly fee ON TOP of the xbox live fees for quality audio?.. never did i think audio would become a paid service what will we get charged a monthly fee for next? fresh air?

how do i activate variable refresh rate with the xb272 and which adaptor do i need for it to be compatible since this is a gsynch monitor and theres a amd gpu in the xbox series x

why is the expanded memory ssds FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS?!?!?! whats the next generation memory expansion gonna cost ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND????

[apps that xbox series x is missing]

native instrument komple audio mk1 software for mixing multiple audio sources

    azeron keypad software

    hori tac pro software

    logitech software

    corsair software

    youtube music

    and lastly...

why did you make the xbox like this...

    :)

Do not use any additional fans with game systems. They are designed with specific static pressures in mind, and you can actually impede cooling

You cannot add things to an HDMI chain with zero latency, it’s impossible.

You cannot adapt Xbox to DisplayPort, because DP is not bidirectional, the console cannot communicate with the display, and so it doesn’t work.

“Better audio” does not carry additional fees. If you wish to access Atmos processing, which is just the spatial audio, you need to pay for it. a Game and movie audio has a great deal of dynamic range, and is mastered at lower volume to prevent distortion. Audio codecs cost money, which is usually paid upfront when you buy something like an audio receiver. This id an optional, premium feature only.

You likely can’t do VRR with the chain you want to do. Monitors have enough compatibility issues as it is. You need to consult your manual

all,of that software is for PCs, an Xbox is not a PC, does not have the peripheral support, and will likely never support these programs that are designed for a PC multitasking environment.

Xbox is a subsidized piece of hardware sold under manufacturer cost like most game consoles with the intention of selling your software. An equivalent GPU to Series X alone retails for more than the entire system. It is a secure platform for that reason. If you wish greater choice and flexibility, the PC is where you need to look for those options.

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    good morning

I'll do my best to answer your questions:

To expand the USB ports on your Xbox Series X without sacrificing power, you can use a USB hub with an external power supply. This will allow you to connect multiple peripherals without overloading the power draw on the Xbox.

To extract audio via HDMI with zero latency and passthrough VRR and 120Hz RR, you can use an HDMI audio extractor that supports these features. You can then use an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter to connect to a monitor that only has DisplayPort. To capture the audio and video for streaming, you can use an Elgato capture card that supports 4K60 and HDR passthrough. For example, the Elgato 4K60 Pro MK.2 or the Elgato HD60 S+.

Xbox charges for Dolby Atmos audio because it's a premium feature that requires licensing fees. Dolby Atmos delivers an immersive audio experience that enhances your gameplay and entertainment, but it's not essential for basic gaming. You can still enjoy high-quality audio on the Xbox without paying for Dolby Atmos.

To activate Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) on your XB272 monitor, you need to enable FreeSync on the Xbox. This will synchronize the refresh rate of the monitor with the frame rate of the game, reducing screen tearing and stuttering. Since your monitor supports G-Sync, you may need to enable G-Sync Compatible mode in the monitor settings to use VRR with an AMD GPU.

The expanded memory SSDs are expensive because they use the latest PCIe 4.0 technology and are designed specifically for the Xbox Series X/S. These SSDs offer faster load times, smoother gameplay, and more storage capacity than the internal SSD. However, they are not essential for basic gaming, and you can use an external hard drive or SSD for additional storage if you prefer.

The Xbox Series X is a powerful gaming console that offers advanced features and performance for gamers. However, not all software and apps are available on Xbox due to compatibility and licensing issues. Microsoft is constantly working to improve the Xbox experience and add new features and apps to the platform.

    Hi,

The reply from ngocphi has been removed as quite honestly it wasn't relevant to the the thread, and on a technical level, it was nonsensical.

There really isn't any need for an external fan to be connected to the Series X. These consoles get hot, this is normal. As long as you have the console in an appropriate location with lots of air to breath and in reasonably cool room/environment you won't have any issues.

As for turning off these fans when the console goes off, external drives have built in controller chips where an instruction can be sent from the console to power them down. A basic USB fan would have no such controller chip (not required) and since can't be told to power off.

Great answer andersonpessos, and I had setup my sons XboxSX the same way but then he wanted it set to his large screen tv. Anyway, my point is that you answered all his questions intelligently, clearly that even a lay person could understand and most of all you answered respectfully. I used to work at a help desk for a software/hardware company (Company name I'll leave out) but along with my own schooling and taking each call professionally I moved up quickly and soon I was managing the call center and in a couple years went into upper management. The number one rule is to never talk above or down to a client or whomever is needing your help. Of course, following the chain of command and the respect of your subordinates is a feather in your cap. But even when I read responses now-a-days and I see someone concerned about keeping their devices connected to the USB port and worried that the power remains on after turning off the console. Then follows the juvenile responses from techies that seem to be more knowledgeable and yet want to feel superior so they talk down to whoever needs help.

Example question of a user needed help:

I have an external hard drive and an additional cooling fan plugged into the two USB ports on the rear of the Xbox Series X but they seem to be powered 24/7 even when the Xbox is off.

I have been into the menu, Power Mode & Startup, Power Mode - instant On and 'When Xbox is off, turn off Storage' is ticked but it makes no difference to the USB port power.

Any suggestions on how I can ensure the power to the USB turns off once the console is off?

Responose from someone who knows more but in this case by his answer he may only know a little bit more. But the point is, his reply is degrading:

Usb will alway run you dont know that ?

PD is a normalized standard for usb type c

And you dont want rhe drive turning off and on all the time thats how drives die sudden loss of power causes rhe heada to crash which physically damages the platters (REALLY??)

And ita very very low voltage anyways

Your microwave or alarm clock uses more power then usb c

These guys never change. Even in normal water fountain conversations among peers will always try to show that they are superior and know more about what the topic is than their cohorts.

Anyways, just wanted to give some kudos. Keep doping what you’re doing and you’ll always be ahead in your life among family and friends…
