Many problems with connecting with xbox live.

Hello, ive had an xbox 360 for almost 5 years and 2-3 years ago i had a problem where it would automatically sign me out of xbox live after a certain time signed into it. It would do it usually after about 1 online game or after it. However now that i have
got my xbox back and re-joined xbox live ive been experiencing many other problems. For instance, when starting up xbox live on my account it sometimes says "unable to connect to xbox live due to your connection" or something along those lines. Then when i
finally do get in and start up a game it will sign me out of xbox live on start up. The same happens when i go to dashboard, it usually automatically signs me out. Next once i have resigned in to xbox live and i try to join an online game (FIFA 14 mainly)
it will take me forever to find a game and it usually finds me a match with the same person over and over and we will not be able to connect to each other. So after i have completed the game it will sometimes not allow me to join another game and the only
way to fix it will be to return to dashboard (which then signs me out). Some more information, if i try to like submit a player review it will say "this option is not available at this time".

For me to usually fix this i have to go to the connections centre bit and test my xbox live connection (which always passes). After that i can sign back in and it will repeat this.

I know for a fact its not my router because i have the best you can get in my area which is a small city (50mbps). My laptop, ipad etc never experience any problems like this and i have taken my laptop outside and still be able to connect properly to my
connection. However with my xbox which is about 6 metres (1 wall away) from my router it struggles to find 4 bars of connection and usually varies between 2-3 bars.

Ive been thinking of buying a new router as i have the old single antenna white one and maybe its something to do with that. But personally i believe its a programming error and im out of warranty and dont fancy paying £100 for what could be an easy repair.

Help would be very appreciated.

cant conncet to xbox live

Several posts have been made with this same problem. Some people are saying that the Xbox LIVE service is have some problems, since many people are having trouble connecting.

If they don't work, just wait for a while and see if Microsoft can fix any problems they might be having.

 

My Xbox One won't connect to Xbox Live, but my other Xbox Ones will.

In my household there are 3 Xbox ones. I am having issues with one connecting to Xbox Live. The other two have no problems at all connecting to Xbox Live, but this one hasn't for some time now. I know it isn't anything to do with my router, because the other
two work. I have tried many things but it still won't work.

I'll have to do that tomorrow, i can answer a few like my router is a BT Home Hub 2, and i think the modem is BT Openreach. I had a chat with some of the repair staff and i had to move the tv to the router in order to wire it to the xbox, which seemed to
fix the problem. She told me that its possibly the fact that the router is not set to work for gaming consoles and i should phone my ISP to get them to sort it out. Unfortunately i cannot use wired connection as the place where my router is, is in an awkward
position.

I use the white external adapter with a single antenna, ill have to get to the xbox side of the questions another time, currently cant get to it.
