    So. There was a promotion on my account a few months ago where I could get xbox live for $1. But my internet was shut off soon after, and I was unable to cancel the renewal. Because of that, I have $20 of back payments on my account, that I literally CANNOT
    pay. (The payments are put on a dead card and I don't have the money to switch it to a new account) I can't go to my account and cancel the renewal because it won't let me on my account because my payments are backed up and I can't go on the web. I tried deleting
    my account, but you can only do that if you don't have any outstanding payments.

    Is there any way to fix this? And why do they keep charging me if Live Gold isn't being renewed?

    Thanks for following up, THE1AUTOCRAT. The descriptions in your original post about how your console freezes, the disc tray won't open correctly, and the graphics degrade definitely points to a repair. However, it's definitely up to you whether you want
    to send it in or not. Regardless of your decision, please make sure to refrain from any self or unauthorized repairs as that would violate the
    Terms of Use.

    If you'd like to conduct some more tests just to cover all your bases before sending your console in, I would recommend running through the troubleshooters related to the issues you are experiencing. "Screen
    Freeze Solution
    " and "Disc Drive Solution" would be a good place to start.

    Hope this helps provide you with some further steps going forward. Keep us posted on how the troubleshooter work out.

    I'm not under warranty anymore. But, I think I'll try that can of air stuff. The xbox stays in the basement and I have tried cleaning it out, but never with the can of air method. Thanks.

    You would need to call phone support and speak to billing in order to resolve this issue. Nobody in the forums can help with billing issues.

    If a hard reset does not fix your issue then you may need to consider carrying out a factory reset on your console to see if that resolves your issue.

    Sorry you're having issue. Try clearing tour storage devices cache under system, storage, then highlight your device and press "Y". This will begin storage maintenance. This should be done regularly and solves a lot of problems you're describing. Let me
    know if this did the trick.
