    manually deleting dlc

Hi, guys. Been gaming with xbox for years and finally got an xbox one recently. One problem I've come across lately is with DLC for games I don't own. EA has been giving out dlc for the battlefield 4 and hardline lately and while it's GREAT to get free stuff,
it's not so great when I don't own the game and the data is just sitting there on my xbox taking up room for a game I don't yet have. I don't see any option to manually delete anything the way we could with the 360 and find that to be a surprising omission
    of user friendliness.

So is there a way to delete stuff manually? This seems like such an incredibly easy fix but as far as I can tell, they haven't fixed for 2.5 years. Are we doomed to forever have this data on our harddrives if we're not willing to completely wipe it all clean
(after all, this isn't an unreasonable request, to be able to delete data at will).

    :)

  3. Deleting DLC

Are you sure that it didn't' delete the game and the DLC?

You can go into the game store under this game and look at each DLC and it will confirm if its installed.

    That is my best suggestion

When you go to "Games & Apps" on your Xbox One, you should see a bunch of square icons of all installed games.

    • Go to "Battlefield 4"
    • Press Menu (≡)
    • Select "Manage Game"
    • Press "A"
    • Go to the DLC icons
    • Press Menu (≡)
    • Uninstall
    • Repeat for other DLC's
That should be all you need to do. Do the same thing with Hardline and you should be all set.

    Hope it helps!

No, this is for games that I don't own. I don't own the base game of Battlefield Hardline. Over the last month or so, they've given away 3 DLC packs for free. I can't seem to uninstall them because I have no option to "manage game" for a game I don't own.
See the problem? No way to manually delete anything as far as I can tell.

Welp, you might get a light chuckle out of this, but now I'm in the same shoes as you, DarkPaul!

I was curious about your problem, so I went ahead and took a look myself. When EA Access was free a little while back, I also partook in downloading Battlefield 4 and Hardline and giving it a play.

Since EA Access is no longer having its free time anymore, BF4 and BFHL are just sitting in my HDD taking up space.
I went ahead and deleted the BF4 base game itself without touching the DLC to get an idea of what you're experiencing. Lo and behold, it's nowhere to be found in the storage settings. Went to the store to see if I could try to "workaround"
an uninstall through the game's store page, but there was no option (it did show the DLC as "Installed" though). I at least have a big 2TB external drive, so luckily (for me) it's not a big deal right now.

Must be one bad oversight on Microsoft's part when they designed this interface.

It seems our only solution to our problem is by taking one of these avenues:

    • Completely format the storage device. Reinstall your entire library.
    • Find a friend who has the base game on disc. Install. Uninstall all.
    • Purchase the game digitally, or buy a month's pass on EA Access. Download the base game. Uninstall all.
I basically shot myself in the foot (for science!), and turned out it was a bad idea. I didn't know this was an actual bug. Whoops.

Like the last guy said, let's just hope this issue gets covered in the next console update. That's about all I have left to say, sorry.
