Managing Child's Account

I have a parent account which I use to manage a child's account (with a separate email). I'm looking to manage the payment options for his account and can't find it online. Can someone send a link to do this?

Hi,

I've been searching and trying loads of things to get my kid to add me in minecraft pe but although I've set him up as family on my account i can't manage his permissions.

Kids not showing up under family settings was a known issue that we believe to be resolved now. Can you check and see if you're able to manage your child's permissions from the family menu now?

Hi NUWildcat11

To manage the child payment instrument you must sign in to
https://commerce.microsoft.com and sign in with the child MSA (Microsoft account) and password and manage payment option.

Thanks. I was able to remove the credit card that way, but I thought there was a way to turn off purchases through my parent account. I can't seem to find how to manage that. Do you just do it from the child's account?

Yes when you sign in to the console go to Settings > Privacy, that's where you can pretty much set your Allow and Not Allow things from that account, but you do need to be signed in to the child's account.

I don't know if your on 360 or One. But if it's 360 you should be able to sign in "offline" and then go to account in the menu and it should show the email associated with the account. At least that way you'll have the right email.

Just curious, you stated that you're getting an error. What's the exact error you're getting? If you're getting an error code, it should start with an 8 and be about 8 characters long.
