Manage Clubs confusion

Even for Public clubs, other users still have to request an invitation. The membership setting "Let people ask to join the club" does not seem to affect this - so what does it do for public clubs?

How do you change a Club from 'Hidden' to 'Public' ?

Hi there,

Have you tried the following,

Double-tap the Xbox button to open the guide, select Friends & clubs, and then choose a club from the list.

Select the Manage tab, and then select Club settings.

Hi,

Usually clubs that have it marked as "Private" will not allows users that are not members to view Activity Feed, Chat, and Roster. Once you become a member then you'll gain access to all that. However, even if you have a club as open to "Public" everyone
can view the Activity Feed, Chat, and Roster even if they are not members of the club. Request for invitation will still allow them to follow the club, but it is to validate/mange users that are trying to join the club.

Clubs that are "Hidden" no one can find or search for unless they are specifically invited by a Admin or Owner of the club.

Thanks Alliance. I still think there should be an admin option to allow users to join without approval, but that make sense how it is too.

Thanks for reaching out to us! We understand this can be confusing since it will not provide the option to delete the club. Since it will not work on the phone, try to delete the club using the Xbox App on Windows 10 if possible.

Sign into the correct account
Select the club in question
Select Manage
Select Club Settings
Select "Delete Club"
