    Making xbox recognize save games


    Hello

    A couple of years ago I sold my old xbox 360. Before I sold it however, I copied the save games and my profile to an usb. Recently I bought a new xbox 360 and I wanted to transfer my profile and saves to it. However, the xbox says that my USB device is empty.
    When I check on my PC I can see a hidden folder 'Xbox360' with in it three data packets Data0000 to Data0002. How do I make my Xbox recognize these as save games? I already tried backing them up, reconfiguring the USB for use with the xbox and then overwriting
    the new data packets on the usb with my backups but it still says that the USB is empty.

    Problem with save game

    Greetings, eleccy. When you launch the game does it ask you to select a storage device? If so, are you making sure to select the USB drive? In addition, are you encountering any error messages or does the game simply not recognize the save? I'd be interested
    to know if the save file looks like it's corrupt when you view it in your system storage. Thanks and let us know! Making xbox recognize save games :)

    Like what? That's what I want to do, upgrade the storage.

    Why can't anybody just give it to me in simple English.

    Can I add an external harddrive where I can perform game saves. Yes, or no. How much memory will the Xbox recognize. And which make is compatible.

    Can I add a USB thumb drive to my Xbox and perform game saves. Yes, or no. How much memory will the Xbox recognize. Which make is compatible?

    im afraid by pluging your usb to your pc you made it unavailable for your console

    Xbox files are not meant to be seen by a PC and moved back and forth. So something would have had to happen for your PC to see the files. Unfortunately, unless you had them backed up some other way, it would not be possible for you to move the saves back
    to your console.

    Xbox files are not meant to be seen by a PC and moved back and forth. So something would have had to happen for your PC to see the files. Unfortunately, unless you had them backed up some other way, it would not be possible for you to move the saves back
    to your console.

    with the dlc there is a bug where someitmes it wont recognize it and you will have to either reload the game, possibly make a new save file or even redownload the dlc. sometimes it takes a while for bioshock to recognize that there is the dlc on the xbox

    Thanks for coming to the Xbox forums. The possibility of the save not being recognized, is it is a save from a previous version of the game. So when you did the reinstall of windows and the game, it is a newer version. If the game will not recognize the
    file, you may want to reach out to the developer.
