Making Gamertags Longer

Hey Guys and Gamer girls I just wanted to tell you that if we make Gamertags Longer it will make us Gamers happier because we can put more letters and have a better Username. Thank You

Please Help FNC for no reason!

Its not suspended its making me change my gamertag as soon as I long on in order to play and I'm trying to avoid that.

Welcome to the forums! Unfortunately after last year's patch there isn't because evening signing into a different 360 no longer pulls the gamertag out. Sorry manual removal is your only option.

 

Think 15 characters is more than enough myself.

The current limitation works for me.

 

Could be wrong but looks like you have a randomly generated name to begin with and I think shorter is better

 

Shorter is better...at least with gamer-tags. I remember playing a couple matches of a older C.O.D. title where people were hacking their tags with... ABCffgghhhsdhshohvodsivdsovhohosadhhbohsosaooowhgfoewhgohldvlnsajlsadjfjsadjfjasdjfjasdjfjasdfjasfjasldfjsdfjjas
killed "short tag". Very, very, annoying to have some stupid tag(s) filling up the screen.

Hmmm... I seem to remember reading a "short story" from a certain person in here once. Had to do with a certain forumer, his Granma's house, a girl, a shower (that didn't happen)
and a gaming console.

I'm not the type to name and shame *innocently whistles* but... have to wonder if I'm not seeing a pattern. I might keep my eyes open for more defensive posturing around 'short'
subjects. X)

OT, do big, flashy Gamer Tags indicate over compensation?

 

The limit right now is fine for me. I should have been more creative when I joined Xbox with my gamertag. But I was like a puppy back then. Sure I could pay $12 to change it, but I've lived through it and met many peps on it that I'm not going to change
it. Yes I got it on my birth certificate and passport.... . British peps tend to call me Bird. My bffs call me by my real name or Sky. Not to be confused with sky does minecraft and I didn't even know about him when I joined Xbox (if he existed
on YouTube. Some peps say "are you SKY does minecraft?" One of my friends calls me smiley and I'm not really joy about it, even some of my friends call me smiley (don't worry, it's only like 4 or 5 friends). I told her I'm not 10 but she said "I just call
you that". So when my friends and her friends and randoms join the party, to compensate, I call out her real name (first name) or pronounce her name like I'm having difficulty with it lol. I know one of my friends she did this. I then copied her and my other
friend said "don't you start...".

 

I'm actually more creative though with my Steam and Frontier and other profile names. I made my YouTube name more creative too. Some of my friends said why not go with something simpler. It makes it more difficult for others to guess it.

 

The current limitation seems to work fine for many players.

If they were to make your gamertag allowed to be longer, then your gamertag may have to be a smaller font to be able to fit into frame.
