Making Child accounts enable to have custom profile pictures.

The birthdate that you entered when creating your Xbox account can never be changed. The system will always go by that birthdate. You will have to wait for it to reach 18yrs old before you can promote it to an adult acount.

I used to have a similar issue. The way I resolved it was through using an adult account in the same family as my child account. This gave me the rights to change the type of account I had, the restrictions set on it and all the details of the profile itself on the Microsoft website. I'm not sure whether you can specifically change the profile picture but judging from the fact you can change most other things, it may be worth a try.

Your own custom picture in profile is only for adult account. You are child, your parents made for you child account.

I think that having custom profile pictures for only Adult accounts is very unfair because it doesn’t allow anyone under the age of 18 to

have personalized profiles and i think profiles are a cool way to express your creativity and personality. If xbox could add a feature that allows this. That would be amazing. This would also help people that had their accounts messed with or had mishaps with date of birth.

Changing the birthdate under your profile doesn't changes your child account to adult.

Only the parental account can upgrade a child account when the service registers that the account has reached 18+

Unluckily only adult accounts can post custom profile pictures for obvious reasons
