    Major Xbox Audio Issues


    Hello,

    Recently I’m having major audio issues with my Xbox One. I will play music via the Spotify app and then want to watch something on Netflix, NowTV or BBC iPlayer and it will play but the audio is silent. Then when I go onto my home menu and move from app
    to app there’s is no sound that makes the swapping sound.

    I’ve had to keep resetting my Xbox more than 3 times a day because that’s the only way I can get it to work again. I’ve tried a couple things in the Xbox settings menu but with no luck.

    Also, the volume in general on the Xbox has gone lower, usually the volume on my TV will be 18 and that’s really loud. Now I have to turn it up to around 24 just to equal what it used to be.

    Any ideas as to what the issue can be?

    Xbox One controller broken by Windows Anniversary Update

    Same issue for me after Windows Anniversary Update.

    I have found this only happens with the newer Xbox One controllers with the 3.5mm audio jack (both regular 3.5mm standard edition and the brand new white S version)

    Playing Divinity - Original Sin Enhanced Edition had major issues with triggers as well as double inputs as everyone in this thread has talked about.

    I hooked up my old Xbox One controllers without the 3.5mm audio jack and all was fine again.

    Hey BotchyMink401! Does the same issue occur if you try a different HDMI or TV with the console? Additionally, are you using standalone speakers or a headset for audio? Post back and let us know!

    hi, I’ve tried a different HDMI port but no luck. I don’t have a spare HDMI cable available. I’m using the tv volume but even when I use headphones it does the same thing.

    Hey BotchyMink401! Because you're seeing the issue with TV speakers as well as the headset you may want to try a different TV and see if the issue persists. Post back and let us know how it goes!

    Hi There,

    Sorry to hear you are experiencing these audio issues, and they do sound weird. Have you perhaps tried resetting your Xbox? You seem to have covered the majority of setting changes that may fix the issue so resetting may be the final option.
