    Major Video Hitching Issue across multiple apps Including Flagship Movies & TV app on Xbox ...


    There is a major hitching issue on multiple video apps across xbox one. Netflix appears to be fine, but the Movies & TV app, Hulu and Media Player seems to have video hitching issues. Watch as your video moves or pans you'll notice split second pauses
    in motion. This has nothing to do with your internet speed.

    This has been tested on multiple ISPs, xbox one consoles and videos. The easiest and variable free test is using the Movies & TV app on a windows machine vs the xbox one using the same video.

    It was reported during the beta by several users but has yet to be fixed.

    My sources indicate a news story from a reputable 3rd party might be running soon on this issue.

    Vudu and Amazon Video having problems since the New Xbox One Update. "Judder" or "Stutter" like effect when videos are playing on these two apps.

    I've been reporting this issue since the first beta of the NXOE. Its a hitching issue that happens constantly and most noticeably on moving parts of video most noticeable on panning.

    This happens on every app I've tested except for Netflix. Its really prevalent on the Movies and TV app.

    I've been in contact with the Movies & TV department but the issue still remains. After a closer look this is not an issue specific to any app but system wide, except for Netflix (it must be rendering its video differently).

    Movies & TV app is the easiest to troubleshoot since you can hook up a windows pc/tablet and run the movies and TV app for the same exact content and there is no hitching/pausing whatsoever. Its completely smooth.

    As of right now video playback is broken for the Xbox one. Try to raise awareness from media outlets, like digital foundry, ign, etc.

    I've tested this on wired, wireless, multiple Xbox ones, multiple ISPs' , multiple times during the day. This did not happen before the NXOE update.

    Let me know if anyone gets any traction on this issue.

    This is happening to me too,. we tried watching a movie on Movies & TV app (that app has a frame hitching/jerky motion when panning issue too

    Screen darkens when watching a movie.

    Same problem here with the Movies & TV app, plus movies & tv app has video playback issues as well, watch a movie with motion or panning, you'll notice the screen hitches/jerky motion. In low motion its much harder to notice.

    I'm not aware of Game Videos being included in the Xbox Video app on Xbox 360 previously. Granted it's been a long time. It's always handled only Movies & TV shows purchased/rented from Microsoft in addition to your personal videos.

    I assume when you say "It's always handled only Movies & TV shows" you are referring to the Xbox One version of the app; Meaning the answer to my question is "Yes, that feature was dropped."

    It certainly did handle these vignettes on the Xbox 360 though, and continued to do so after being updated and rebranded as "Movies & TV" when the Xbox One and Windows 10 were released. When the app first launched, the only videos available were these videos
    (E3 Clips, the live action Halo 3 short, 'bts' hype videos, etc...)
