Discus and support Major "Real Name Sharing" Security/Safety Issue! in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; BigBen...even if it's only showing up for friends, it shouldn't be showing up for anyone...I have real name sharing turned off.     BigBen...even if it's only showing up for friends, it shouldn't be showing up for anyone...I have real name sharing turned off.

    Sigh...headache...it wouldn't be showing my real name anymore...since I changed my display name to Kinect amaniac.

    You will see " Kinect amaniac"...if you've friend'd me or followed me and check your list of people you've friend'd or followed....or recent player list of we've gamed recently.

    I understand that, but my point is, all I see is the gamertag: Kinecamaniac. I don't see the pseudo "real name" "Kinect Amaniac" anywhere.

    All I can see is the same gamertag profile and listings as I linked images to earlier in this thread.

    I have now done a hard reset on my Xbox One, making sure that it was shut down completely. After doing so, I reviewed all of the places that I would see your gamertag listed; none of them show anything beyond the gamertag and your online/offline information
    except the profile, which does not show your "real name" information, be it real or substituted.

    Maybe Xbox finally got it fixed from the public/friends perspective? And it's now only showing up on my console? I certainly hope so.

    Tomorrow I will go see a couple friends and check on their consoles.

    Appreciate the help and thoughts all.

    Hey, sorry it took so long to reply, but I'm with Hyrule here, I pulled you up as soon as I got home and all I saw was your Gamertag like the image above. So I guess that it confirms your friends are seeing but it's not displaying to the public.
