Major problem with xbox

My xbox is completely unresponsive. I turn it on, and it freezes at the dashboard immediately without touching anything or signing in. It will occasionally respond to whatever button has been pressed last and then the screen will go black. I've tried everything
I can think of to fix it and because it is frozen up at startup there is no much that can be done.

This started just 5 days ago when I was playing madden 16 and it froze and auto-quit to the dashboard. It does it occasionally and I thought nothing of it and proceeded to try and start it back up. When I did the xbox did what it's doing now, freezing up
and not responding. I was able to get back to the dashboard however and quit the game. I tried a few more times throughout the next few days and the same thing happened, but it started getting worse to the point where I would have to do a hard restart every
time after it froze. I eventually uninstalled it completely, or at least I thought I did, just to stop the issues. Somehow it didn't actually uninstall, even though after just it being completely gone from my stored games, and when I went to try it again it
froze. upon another hard restart it made the xbox do what it's doing now.

Anybody have any solution? I'm almost desperate for anything at this point.

I Think I have a major account problem.

I found out that my email was being used by someone else to put up ads on a Swedish site for clothing etc. Therefore I had to remove the email as it was being reported for false advertisement among other things. The email was the one I had connected my Xbox
account with and on my account I have games for several thousands of Swedish kronors. I have had this account for many years and have countless of hours played on the games on it. But now I cant connect to my account as the email is no longer in use. It has
been removed and I don't know what to do. I have created a new email but it isn't connected to my account. Help!

 

Major problem with account

In order to remove an email from your Microsoft account, you need to add one in its place. So, something was placed on there and only the one who removed the original (spamming) email address would know. you can try contacting support via
THIS LINK to verify that you are the original account holder. Plead your case to them and see if they can help you recover the lost account. Good luck!

 

If you have not already done so have you deleting your profile from the console and then reload it to see what happens. After this the final thing you could try is to carry out a full factory reset on the console to see if that resolves the issue.

 

We're having the same issues while playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. At the end of a match it will kick us out to the dashboard, losing all of our progress. We also noticed this about a week ago. Also, my chat keyboard and menus have a huge delay when
trying to type messages or just navigate through the apps.

Then the last 2 days with chat not working. I don't know what is going on, but rather than worry about releasing the next game, they should worry about fixing the bugs currently going on with the system and servers.

 

Most of the time this issue is caused by impending updates. To solve the issue you are experiencing I suggest you to remove the account from your console, clear the console cache and download your account again. Follow the step by step instructions:

a)To remove the account from xbox live console:

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Under "Account," select Remove accounts.

Select the account that you want to remove.

Select Remove to confirm.

When you're finished, select Close.

b) To clear cache on an Xbox One:

Press and hold the power button on the front of the console until it powers down completely.

Unplug the power cable from the back of the console so that the power brick in not connected to the console.

Press the power button on the console three or four times. This will ensure that any remaining power in the battery is drained, clearing the cache on the console.

Plug the power cable back into the console.

Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange.

Turn on the console using the power button.

c)To download your Xbox profile to the Xbox One console:

1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

2. Scroll down, and then select Add & manage.

3. Select Add new.

4. Enter the email address for the Microsoft account that's associated with your Xbox profile, and then select Enter.

5. Enter the password for your Microsoft account, and then select Enter.

6. Read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement, and then select I Accept.

7. Follow the steps to configure your Sign-In & Security preferences and download your Xbox profile to your Xbox One console.

I appreciate the answers, but unfortunately it's impossible to even get to the point to remove the account since the console freezes immediately on start up and doesn't not move. I ended up taking it to a local repair shop and had it be factory reset, just
hope that works.

 

Resetting your console to its factory defaults should be used as last resort for it erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost, yet sometimes it solves hard disc issues.

Send it in for repair, what's another $120 right?? You could also Hulk smash it... won't fix the issue but may ultimately be more satisfying

 

When i bought the console back in early 2014 i also bought a 3tb hard drive, so everything I've ever done is on the hard drive. The only thing I lost was my settings. I have the console back now, it works fine and it only cost $35 to fix.
