MAJOR lag issues with apex legends, can anyone help me? I feel like I've tried everything

So my xbox used to play apex legends perfectly without ever lagging. I have decent internet so i doubt that's the problem. Recently, I got the 8tb gamedrive and a wireless headset but neither of those things should affect lag. I'm literally taking 10 steps and then the game freezes for a couple seconds before it responds, and it's happening over and over again.

Now - I looked into youtube videos on how to fix this and feel like I have done absolutely everything. I unplugged and left everything off for 10 minutes to clear the cache, have it on energy saver mode, cleared the blu-ray thing, reset the alternate mac address, and when I test my internet I'm getting 30 mbps download and 10 mbps upload, with 60 fps in game so it should not be lagging.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

move it back to internal storage and try, could very well be the new drive. seen it happen before.

Is this latency happening with any other games on your Xbox? I found a forum thread with EA about this issue here: Apex Legends lag/stutter issue on Xbox one - Answer HQ. If it is not occurring with any other online game, it may be an issue specific to Apex Legends. It seems some have found a solution there. Please let me know if this is a persistent issue across all your games on your console or if it is just with Apex Legends.

I have done the power cycle more than once and it still didn't fix the issue. Its also in apex legends as well i can load into the game but its lagging and sound for everything is completely off

I guess its a mixed bag.

Played all 4. Used to like fortnite, but not anymore. Not a fan of Blackout cos it feels clunky. so for me its PUBG and Apex Legends. even though i mostly play Apex Legends

I used to be 100% Pubg and never tried Blackout. After Apex came out, I had to play that and put in lots of time. I feel like Apex is the new #1 king and hopefully they improve with more content/map/stuff/legends soon. However, I still prefer Pubg's realism/vehicles
but then again, I only like playing the first map Erangel. I think pubg really took too long to fix their bugs while Apex was pretty perfect polished in my experience. Lastly, as a solo majority of the time, I can't solo properly in Apex so I would say Pubg
does have that going for me as well.
