Major issue with XBOX capture app

I have an xbox one s, and recently this has been happening... 50% of the times I try to make a clip, they end up as 4 seconds with no sound. I've set the xbox to record 30 seconds, 45 seconds, and 60 seconds. All options leave me a 4 second clip half of
the time I try to make a clip. If I leave this here, will it make it's way to the people who can fix this issue? I don't know where to go to get this issue fixed.

Yes it does this to everyone I have a Xbox X and made a 2 min. clip and it only ended up being 4 seconds long. Since the Corona virus Microsoft has been slow to fix problems.

you could try to do a factory reset, but select the option to keep your games, and see if that helps fix the issue. It could be that an update installed a bit wonky and if the factory reset doesn't fix it you could try an offline update

After doing the factory reset... the capture feature started out recording odd lengths of time. Started with 2 sec, then 9 sec, then 11 sec, then 14 sec, so on an so on. Eventually it made it to 44 sec and I have it set to 45 sec.

I have been capturing as much as possible (just to xbox) and they all turn out around 45 seconds with sound. I think my issue is fixed. At least it seems fixed.

Yeah ive had a fair amount of issues with the X, did you try wiping completely? I dont recall.

i honestly would try the offline update first though, it has fixed most of the issues ive had in the past til the HDD died on me
