i would like to clarify it does not crash when i load it to play a game. it crashes when it tries to load my friends list. i have tried reset. i have uninstalled it many times. run troubleshooter etc etc. Troubleshooter will either find nothing wrong or
know that an app hangs/freezes and there are crash reports but i see no way of fixing it.

playing sea of thieves on pc also cant find my friends (not using it through app) so does it have something to do with my microsoft services?

Based on how you described your concern, it is possible that there is an issue with your profile that is why it is not connecting to the server to fetch your friends list data. To properly isolate the issue, please clarify the following information:

• Did you sign up to Xbox Live Insider Preview?
• Did the issue start after an update?
• Are you able to check your friends list on
  Xbox.com?
• Does the same issue occur to a different profile on your PC?
• Are you signed in to a Local account or a Microsoft account on your computer?

In the meantime, we suggest that you follow the steps below to make sure that the Xbox Live Services are running or enabled on your PC:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard and type Services in the search box.
   
2. Once the Services window opens, scroll down and look for Xbox Live Auth Manager,
   Xbox Live Game Save, and Xbox Live Networking Service.
   
3. You have to repeat the steps on each service. Right-click on each service and click
   Properties.
4. Make sure that the Startup type is set to Automatic.
5. If the Service status is stopped, click on Start.
6. Click OK to save the settings.

Same happened to me and there was no warning to say it wouldnt work if you install it onto a USB stick! Refunds should be given due to insufficient info given. xSimpledrifetx, did you try to get a refund and if you did, how did you get on?

Okay thanks. Wait you have an analysis for each level? That must have been a lot of writing, If you wouldn't mind that would be awesome. Right now im going through it on a lower difficulty because it has been a while since i played it and i want to make
sure i know where everything is and what will happen so i don't mess up much on Hard.
