    Major connection issues- please help!


    So I have been having major issues with my x box one for months. I have spoken to support twice and have tried everything- they reconnected my account, we did a soft restart, cleared my caches, I bought a new HDMI cable and nothing is fixing the problem.
    So here's the problem- when the x box comes on, I am signed in but the banners are grey and it says, "connect to x box live". when you click on it nothing happens, no matter how long you wait or how many times you click it. So if you sign out, it displays
    the banners as though you are on live but when you try to access an app or sign back in it almost never works. It gives you the message, "sorry you can't do that right now, try again later" or similar. support says there is nothing wrong with my account and
    it works just fine on my 360. So does anyone have any ideas? Do I just need a new xbox? At the end of my rope here and considering buying a play station and never looking back.

    Hello sorry for the delayed reply, I have family visiting from out of state.

    I am playing versus-standard-TDM-quickmatch most times as it has the most players. I posted this problem to the EPIC games support forums and they deleted my thread with no response. It is an issue that affects hundreds of US players that they are trying
    to cover up rather than deal with.

    They have no option to change search preferencea inside the game, that is something ONLY EPIC controls. There is no way for me to change this myself.

    Major connection issues- please help!

    To solve the issue you are experiencing I suggest you to remove the account from your console, clear the console cache and download your account again. Follow the step by step instructions:

    a)To remove the account from xbox live console:

    Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

    Select Settings.

    Select All Settings.

    Under "Account," select Remove accounts.

    Select the account that you want to remove.

    Select Remove to confirm.

    When you're finished, select Close.

    b) To clear cache on an Xbox One:

    Press and hold the power button on the front of the console until it powers down completely.

    Unplug the power cable from the back of the console so that the power brick in not connected to the console.

    Press the power button on the console three or four times. This will ensure that any remaining power in the battery is drained, clearing the cache on the console.

    Plug the power cable back into the console.

    Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange.

    Turn on the console using the power button.

    c)To download your Xbox profile to the Xbox One console:

    1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

    2. Scroll down, and then select Add & manage.

    3. Select Add new.

    4. Enter the email address for the Microsoft account that's associated with your Xbox profile, and then select Enter.

    5. Enter the password for your Microsoft account, and then select Enter.

    6. Read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement, and then select I Accept.

    7. Follow the steps to configure your Sign-In & Security preferences and download your Xbox profile to your Xbox One console.

    Thanks for the response, but I already tried that . Since you suggested it I did it again, but it didn't help- still the same problems. Any other ideas?

    Ok seems the issue is with the account you are using. Do you get any error code with the message "sorry you can't do that right now, try again later"?

    I sent a message to the head moderator on the EPIC games forums on why my posts on this issue are being deleted, his response was basically that if I claim I have a problem and Im blaming it on something on EPIC's end then that is "inflammatory and trolling".

    The problem is IT IS SOMETHING ON THEIR END!!! They constantly censor their forums on issues that they know are their fault.... It is a problem with EPIC's servers and they REFUSE to fix it. I have talked to many players who have this issue and just from
    this topic I have gotten 3 messages on xbox live of people telling me they quit playing Gears because of this same problem I am having. It is getting out of hand and this needs fixed...
