Majohng & Solitaire will not load

I have not had any issues with the games loading for at least 5 months but as of Jan 13, both games open, freeze then drop off the screen.

• What version & build of Windows are you running? CPU Windows 8.1 with all updates thru Jan 13 2014
  
• What is the make (who made it) & model (if you know it) of the device or devices you are using? Acer i5-3337U 1.80GHz
  
• About how long ago did you start having this problem? Jan 13
• Have you noticed this problem happening on any other games? All Microsoft games including mahjong, solitaite & mindsweeper
  
• Describe your problem. Please explain what happens from the time you launch the game until the problem happens. the game screen opens then instantly drops off the screen. I have checked all updates from Microsoft & the app store. I have deleted and reinstalled
  the games...same issue

Can MS change Xbox games to Xbox Live?

After I installed Windows 10 Microsoft Solitaire and Majohng collections did not work. I uninstalled them, following recommendation from support, and now I have not been able to download or re-install them

I have already purchased a year of ad free premium Microsoft majohng and micrcosoft premium solitaire collection. I am still having to watch ads before either game will open What's up???

 

This is actually due to a recent Windows update that apparently did not push out to everyone and doesn't even show up most of the time in updates.

I know you said you're already up-to-date, but please try this because this is apparently a background update that has gotten "stuck" and this is the only way to unstick it.

1. Press Windows Key

2. Type in Check For Updates

3. Click on Settings under the search bar on the right

4. You'll now see Check for Updates. Click on it

5. Install any waiting updates. Apparently sometimes the updates will show and sometimes they won't.

6. Reboot

7. When your PC is back from the reboot, type Windows Key and R

8. In the box, type wsreset.exe and Enter

9. This will launch the Windows Store

10. Go to Settings, then App Updates

11. Press both Check for Updates (you will most likely not see them but it will "unstick" any that were waiting) and Sync Licenses

As I said, this is a new update that was supposed to have gotten updated in the background and appeared to have installed but actually got "stuck" for a certain number of users. So your PC may seem like it's up-to-date but that update is stuck.

 

Today Is June 24th, 2015.....My Cards Games Won't Load Up, The Stay Frozen When The Ad Comes Up. My Java Script, And Adobe Flash Are Working Fine, And Are Up To Date, I Also Checked My Apps. Which Are All Up To Date. I Need Help Fixing This Problem. Thank

Today is June 24, 2016. I have Windows 10. And I cannot play Solitaire, because whenever I try to open it, I see the blue screen coming and then either it closes on its own or nothing ever happens. When I try to update, it is just waiting for licenses, or
is among a huge list of pending updates that never seem to go away. Please help.
