main screen game/app tile images replaced with colors.

This is what the main screen looks like now. Before it was images of the games or apps, now just squares of color. Once it had a strange HTML link in the box where internet explorer was, but it went away. It seems like everything is working fine, but I'm
not sure why this happened? Do you think I should do a system reset...

How to remove tile from Home screen ?

Wait, you talking about the "home" screen not the "My Pins" screen. As far as i know that tile on the home screen will get replaced by other tiles over time. I could be wrong though.

Thanks for sharing the images. MaximumExtreme is correct, the tiles under the main tile will change as you use other games and apps.

 

It would not let me upload an image in the editor. This is what my screen looks like.

 

I spoke to 2 ambassadors. one said the change came with the system update. directed me to change my tile transparency, then exited the session before I could try. I see my tile transparency is set to solid, but it will not let me change it. My buddy's is
set to solid as well, and his tiles still show the images, and not solid color as mine do.

One tile says "ms sourceDESC.APPNAME" or something. I didn't get that in the picture.

I hope this doesn't lead to further system errors.

 

spoke to chat and went through all troubleshooting steps, besides system reset which I'm not sure if I want to do. the problem is getting worse and spreading to other tiles, many more show weird script. however I did put diablo 3 in and it shows the game
image instead of a color tile.

Sorry about your video issues, and sorry you were having problems with another ambassador. Did they walk you through a hard reset? Doing this is simply holding down the power button for 10 seconds with the Xbox on, then when it quickly turns off, just power
it back on. Doing that may or may not fix this issue. Also changing the tile transparency would have been something I tried as well. Also, the only down side to a reset it, you need to setup your Xbox, and download / install your games again. It's pretty seamless
as you can queue multiple games, and you can queue all your games (download copies), and you can view all your DLC to the far right of your apps and games section of your Xbox. The only word of caution I would give with that is if you play games off-line.
If you're always online, then it shouldnt' be a problem with your game saves.
