Mahjong tile delay

For the past few days when I click on tiles in Microsoft Mahjong games, there is a delay in response. And sometimes, no response. Frustrating in a regular game but the Daily Challenges with a timed feature are impossible to play.

I have rebooted the computer, checked internet connectivity, checked other Microsoft Games (which operate normally). Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions? I am on Windows 10.
