Mahjong Not Connecting To XBOX While Other Games Do

I am having a very annoying issue in which I cannot get Mahjong to connect to my XBOX LIVE profile. I am on Windows 8.1. THIS is the message I get.

"A connection to XBOX could not be established. Please check your internet connection and try again."

Any idea what is causing this? Other XBOX Windows games, like TapTiles, work fine. So does one of my Games For Windows Marketplace games, Microsoft Flight.

No connection with Sudoku

Hello there,

Cannot get into the daily challenges from Sudoku while it isn't connecting in Xbox Games ??

Why is Microsoft Sudoku not working for connecting with Xbox Games ??

While others are working like Microsoft Jackpot Microsoft Mahjong Microsoft Jigsaw and the Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

Internet is working very fine but it keeps saying lost connection with internet ????? Very strange while the rest is working very fine.

So pls try to repear this asap

Can not connect with Sudoku

Can somebody do something about this pls !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can not get into the Sudoku game and daily challenges while it isn't connecting in Xbox Games ??????

All others are working fine like Microsoft Jigsaw Microsoft Mahjong Microsoft Jackpot also Microsoft Solitaire Collection the daily challenges and so on. And connection with internet is also fine.

So why is Microsoft Sudoku not working ?????? Mean the connection with Xbox Games

Pls fixed this asap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Labatryth,

This error usually means that the connection needs to be refreshed. To do so, choose Restart from the Shutdown menu and this should clear things up. Let us know if you're able to get back into the game.

Thank you so much for your reply, but I have done that. I have even turned off my wireless adapter and turned it back on. I don't know what to do at this point.

If this is the only game where it is an issue, try installing a fresh version of the game. To do this, do the following:

1. Uninstall Mahjong by right-clicking (or holding down) on the tile and choosing Uninstall from the bottom menu

2. Press the windows key & r. A box will pop up. Type wsreset.exe and enter

3. The store will come up. Search for Mahjong and reinstall.

Let us know if you're still having issues!

Go to the Store and install another Microsoft game. Like Mahjong or Jigsaw.

Start that game and when you are logged in to Xbox Live, start Solitaire while leaving the Mahjong or Jigsaw game open.

Worked for me.

Another good suggestion. I tried the options that the link provided, no joy was found.

The link does say this: "Older Xbox Live games like Mahjong, Jigsaw, Bingo, and others use your "connected account" that you sign into Windows with and do not have the ability to switch accounts via the Xbox app."

As you can guess, trying my "connected account" didn't work.
