So I had never ever played Magic before this game. It's not a bad teacher however I'm still a noob. Any seasoned veterinarians have some tips for me?

Bowski, I can help you although my terminology is different than now a days. You definitely don't want to learn from people that just started a few years ago. They don't know everything that is available.

There are so many new cards with new abilities that are making old and seemingly useless cards awesome now.

Correction: A friend of mine who is far nerdier than I am said that it's the Magic World Cup that's happening right now, not the Magic World Championship. The latter is 1v1, and has already mostly happened earlier this week with the final
4 happening this Sunday. The former is team-based, with 3v3.

That being said, the U.S. is currently beating out Canada, England, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand in the standings, which are all countries represented by users in this forum community.
