Magic 2015 now available

This game is every bit as good as the actual card game; the ONLY thing that ruffles my feathers about the game is that it records a 1-minute clip every single time you win. That is incredibly annoying! To make matters worse, there is no in-game option to
turn it off (and yes, I know you can use the XB1 settings to do it, but I'd rather not have to).

 

Also, the trailer for the game just released, which can be seen . It's actually kind of dark... And COOL!

the funnier one with the clips is that I wa splaying a 3 way with 2 friends. i got knocked out and it recorded a victory clip for both of them even though teh game was still going. then i spectated and my one friend won and it gave him and myself who was
knocked out already a victory clip lol

 

Weird, Upinya. I haven't taken the opportunity to play the game online yet, much less with more than 1 opponent. I'm not quite ready for that - I want to build a really good deck 1st.

 

The way they set up the deck builder is awkward. It seems you can only take cards out, but not add any. Also it's only letting me use a black/green deck. The cards suck and the very first opponent in the campaign keeps winning lol. His deck sucks too.

Where are the cards and or decks to choose from? I'm having a hard time navigating the deck builder so I'm probably missing some things.

Also, does anyone else get a slight stutter here and there when you cast a card?

 

Bought the game a month ago and Multiplayer worked fine. Now with the Garruks revenge expansion I can't access online content. Do I really have to purchase the expansion to play my friends online again?

 

Bran, I'm not sure why you can only take cards out but not add any, because you're only limited to a minimum of 60 cards, but there should be no maximum (or is there?).

As for your deck, it's simply what you initially chose - green then black or black then green. If it's not working for you, then simply start the campaign over and choose a new set of colors for your deck or do some practice duels to unlock more cards to
make a deck of your own. Regarding your current colors, black is good for negative effects against your opponent and bringing your creatures back from the graveyard, while green is great for big creatures and mana acceleration with your lands.

 

Same issue as ClanMcgregorSaw here. I actually have the expansion also on my 360 but since I updated I can't play Multiplayer anymore. It tells me I am missing content also, but I have both the update and expansion so seems like a bug.

 

@ GG, Thanks whoever I know what the colors are for as I've been playing avidly since 1995. It's just the set-up to create decks is not user friendly. I've beat a few opponents with the deck as is and I've unlocked some new cards. Now I'm able to switch
some which helps. I guess it's just a matter of me getting used to it.

It was way easier though very limited on the 360 versions.

The day that they let you use any card available will be a great day.

agree wholeheartedly. What I would like to see is the utility and accessibility of Magic Online (with access to all of the cards), but with the graphics, gameplay, and user-friendliness of the Magic: Duels of the Planeswalkers series.

 

One thing I never understood with the Duels of the Planeswalker series was why they don't re-add decks and cards or gametypes from the previous games in the series and just grow upon that? Many of the previous game modes that are no longer available were
actually really fun! I think that it would be great to add those back in, really mix things up, and make your decks infinitely more customizable. In case there might be a balance issue, the developers could easily institute in-game settings or card limitations
like they do with the actual card game such as modern, legacy, casual, etc. - each deck you create will simply be labeled under each applicable category and you will only be able to play your deck with other decks that are also applicable to those categories.

 

Been playing this alot the last few days. Currently stuck on the last apponent on the 2nd to last area. He got a black and red deck and lots of the creatures have bloodthirst..... driving me nuts. Ive made so many different decks. I got so close to beating
him with a green and blue deck that i made, then i made a stupid move and lost it. >.<

 

I've had a few games where I made some pretty stupid moves, Boo, so don't feel bad. We all make mistakes. BTW, I'm still waiting for you to play a round or 2 against me.

 

Oh sure, make the guy wait why don't ya...

 

FYI green/red is the way to get through the campaign later on. early on blue and white or black works well
