Magic 2015 now available

I have the pc version of this game and I am torn whether or not I am going to buy the console version. The pc population as far as multiplayer goes was non existent. Also, they took out a lot of the game modes that has made the game great in the past (two
headed giant).

When is the magic 2015 expansion coming to xbox 360? It is now available on the xbone, with full game however now they have yet to release the expansion for the 360 edition.

I've just lost my evening to this game. The opponents in the campaign are brutal too! I fought against a deck that uses enchantment cards that affect the opponent (e.g., me) directly called "curses" to really great effect. Then my very next opponent swarmed
me with vampires!

 

GG I know exactly which deck you are talking about. It took me like 12 tries to beat that guy. It was a pain.

 

This game has some of the best achievement art for use as Xbox One home screen backgrounds bar none, IMO. Why? Because they use the gorgeous card art!

 

I had been playing Hearthstone ( first card battle game I've ever played) and thought I'd give this a try when it came out but it was hammered on the PC as being Pay to Win so it's basically a 40 dollar game on the PC.

Is the One version any different? Can all the items in the 25 dollar add on be unlocked in game or is going to be a must buy if you plan on playing MP?

 

^^ I can't wait to start unlocking them. I got some of the Older rarer ones and some of my favorite on my hockey autographed card shelf here at work. Plus I love this game!

where do you get your info? lol I've had the Ipad version for quite a while. the "locked" content is only 10 bucks and really only 1 card in the whole lot could be considered giving an advantage and its pretty situational at best. which would make it a 20
dollar game, but even then i had no problems not buying it and winning online. but they did change it and now those can be unlocked for free by playing if you buy the expansion

My info is from the PC release and all the "P2W" complaints.

When it released on the One I went to the Store and saw the same DLC add-ons that people were complaining about on the PC. I just can't find an answer to if the add-ons make the game Pay to Win or if it can all be unlocked just by in-game progression/playing.

www.metacritic.com/.../magic-duels-of-the-planeswalkers-2015 isn't kind and most of the complaints are the add-ons or missing features.

thats why you don't use stupid people on the internet for knowledge.

its never been P2W. there is one section of cards that was locked behind a paywall of 9.99 for all of the cards. most of them aren't even any good outside of a few and none would give you a distinct advantage over anyone else.

They updated it to make them unlock able via playing because people did complain anyway.

the 25 dollar unlock you are talking about is all the cards in the game , which you earn by playing the game normally anyway. You could pay 25 dollar to get every card instantly or just play it normally and unlock them all.

as it stands now the only thing you need to pay to have access to unlock everything is 9.99 for the base game and 4.99 for an expansion.

Its not P2W by any means, the only thing the game lacks is the 2HG mode. i've unlocked everything on my ipad BTW months ago, now i'm doing it again for the X1 version

 

So base game and Garruk's Revenge then I'm good to go. Got it.

yup and in total its 15 dollars and you can unlock everything that matters w/o extra money (foil cards cost money but its just for looks)

 

I've just downloaded the base game. What else do I need to download to get all available cards?

Garruk's Revenge expansion at 4.99. Everything else is just unlocking content you can earn in game earlier.
