Magic 2015: Duels of the Planeswalkers

Hi ashrok03. If you finished the campaign and all of the nodes (enough that the boosters have stopped coming) then you should have all the cards with the exception of the premium cards which require purchasing booster packs.

 

How could you play it on Xbox One since it's not even released yet?

I've seen some children get upset when they've been told they have to do something they don't want to, like put their toys away, or go to bed...

But none of those paddies compare to the sheer unadulterated emotional betrayal felt by the members of the Official Wizards Of The Coasts forums.

If you thought people were crying hard because they couldn't figure out how to use Party Chat on the ONE you should read some of the pre-school tirades being launched at the Developers on their official boards.

Most of it reads along the lines of "Dear Wizards of the Coast, yoo are the stoopedest and dumbest company in the world. How dare you release the game on ipad a week before PC. I am never buying your game again and i hate you more than everything and you
should compensate me by sending out Elite Magic Card Packs to every member of my family".

Wish they'd hurry up and get it out on the ONE.

 

I'm starting to question whether they ever will put it on the One.

 

I read that there is a "big announcement" this weekend at PAX from WotC. My guess it is the release date for the One. If it is, they are likely going to launch at a bad time for them. Instead of releasing during a relative drought they would be a drop in
the deluge of AAA titles. I can't see a ton of intrest in the game launcching now when the other versions recieved a lot of questionable reviews, many fans already purchased it for other medias, and a(as noted earlier). a bulk of the core fanbase/community
seems very upset.

For me personally, I bought the 360 version and was neither disappointed or impressed. Had the game launched sooner I may have threw down some money on the One version. But with games like Destiny and Unity coming out and the recent deals that have been
pretty good, I just can't justify hitting the purchase button again.

 

Just a little update, I personally did not see anything from WotC about the Xbox One version at PAX the way their community manager had referenced. Instead the focus was the "Khans of Tarkir" spoilers. While the announcements were interesting, it is very
odd that no focus was put on a game "that will be launching later this summer." Did anyone see some news on the Xbox One release that I may have missed?

 

Do you have any update? I can't find any news about the estimated release date...

 

It is probably not going to happen now. I have this game for PC and it is horrible. The Deck Builder is nice but that is it. It has no online community whatsoever and it gets boring playing against AI opponents all the time. There is no two headed giant
mode anymore either.

 

There was supposedly an interview with Mark Nolan where he is quoted as saying "Fans can expect to see Magic 2015—Duels of the Planeswalkers release to Xbox One around the same time that the expansion comes out. We do not currently have a date to announce,
but please look for more information in the coming months." Even if it is from an actual interview the details are extremely vague and I really think that the Xbox One release is up in the air.
