Mage and Warrior Questions?

past players have u found it more fun playing as a mage or a warrior in the previous titles? I ask because, 1. I'm new to the franchise and 2. I've started the main quest, about 4 hours in, and chose Warrior as a class and it seems VERY hack and slash.

having chosen a Warrior class is it possible to still do magic? I know I can use the other characters in my group, which in general means I have a mage, but I'm curious.

Staff? You mean the staves Mages use exclusively?

Hmm, do you mean the Arcane Warrior specialization that allows Mages to use Rogue and Warrior armor and weapons?

Decisions, Decisions.

Actually, a warrior with a one-handed weapon, shield and heavy armor is an unstoppable force in Skyrim. I have tried a warrior, mage(pure caster), and a thief and nothing compared to the warrior in effectiveness.

if you want a different class, you'll have to start the game over. I personally like the mage class better, then rogue, then warrior.

I like the warriors toughness in battle, and dislike the mage's softness . But I like the mage ability's.

Warriors are my awesome number one favorite heroic "barbaric" fighting soldiers folks!!!

It's the almighty combat triangle. Mage can wreck the warrior but weak against an archer. The Warrior is strong against the archer but falters before the mage. The Archer can unleash hell when facing a mage but in a confrontation against a warrior, he can
kiss his butt goodbye.

DICE is in the process of runing the balance of the game by nerfing some of the weapons.
