i purchased assassins creed deluxe when i meant to puchase assassins creed gold edition. Is there anything i can do to fix this?

Big Problem

Sadly, Once a purchase has been made, it cannot be reversed. An accidental purchase of the wrong DLC is an unfixable accident.

You would need to contact support and speak to billing to see about getting a refund for the original purchase and then purchase the correct edition. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or Contact Us | Xbox Support

You can choose to buy the season pass separately although that might add up to be more expensive than the Gold edition.

Alternatively, I would advise requesting for a refund by contacting Xbox Support directly through this link-Contact Us | Xbox Support

Sorry about that, what you could do to play this game on your main account is set this account with far cry 6 as a home console, and then it would allow you to access the game from your original account, to do that follow the instructions below, please.

In case the account with which you have the far cry 6 license would be defined as a home console, this would make it possible for you to play the game on your original account.

That may be the route I have to take, except that I will have to return the entire bundle including the console.

I've filed the refund, I'll see what they say. If there's nothing they can do but to return the bundle then I will do it this way.
