Made a mistake with license transfer, need help / something explained.

Okay, this is a really stupid mistake.

to my understanding, if you get a new console, you have licenses on two consoles and your profile and you have to transfer them, well the guide was not clear with "exactly" how to do it. It seemed decently obvious but I didn't do it right.

I got a brand new console, and I used a transfer cable to transfer all my hard drive stuff (90GBs worth) to my new Slim console (older one was a regular white one) a couple months go by and I decided I need to transfer stuff, so I'm sure I didn't read it
right because I went on my new one and hit "license transfer" there. And it offered me to download things and I didn't know what to press. I go offline to check and I still can't use any of my DLCS

1: I for sure am supposed to transfer my profile to a USB then go on the old console and transfer it there then somehow download 90gigs worth of stuff to my new one? Can someone simplify this on how to correctly do it?

2: I'm completely locked out of license transferring for a few more months now that I did that aren't I?

I need help with my license transfer

According to Microsoft license migration agreement , we can only transfer license 3 times a year. I made a mistake to push the transfer button on my pervious console caused I need to wait until another 3 months to transfer to my new console . In this
case , how to solve the issue? Do i have to wait or there's another opportunity to transfer license right away

I did a license transfer back in july and my console red rined so i got a new one however i made a new account and now i need another license transfer can anyone help me or am i screwed?

 

Yes, you're supposed to be signed into your account on the new console, then start a license transfer. The transfer will say it is complete, but you must redownload your content. Since your content is already on your hard drive, it's actually only redownloading
the license, not the full data. You can redownload everything from your download history -

support.xbox.com/.../redownload-content

You can only do a license transfer once every 4 months.

 

Thank you very much Smwutches! That definitely helps me answer my questions. But I want to take a wild guess and say there's no "select all" button to redownload stuff? :/

Unfortunately not, but the quickest way is to queue the downloads from a PC while you have your console on. The downloads should start immediately and it'll move pretty quickly. When you do start to download something, you may get a message saying that the
content is assigned to another console. Just queue the download, select it in your active downloads screen on the console by pressing A and choose "Download All Items". That should fix that message.

If you've already done the license transfer on the console, you can still redownload the content now and it should work. You don't have to start a license transfer again unless you transferred on the wrong console or something.
