    Hi folks, well I set up the kids new XBOX today, dead chuffed, but it seems I have made a cockup! I have basically put an wrong charactor in my email for the account and so now I am a little worried what this might mean security wise..?

    I have tried changing the tagged account to my xbox to the one I have re-registered here, but I think microsft wants me to wait 30 days before I can change this now.

    All I can do is hope that the person who gets the email clicks on the bit that says "If you did not create this account blah blah"...

    Is there anything I can do and if not what precautions can I take until I am able to correct this stupid error!

  2. Cannot verify my email to add a new one to my account

    I made a mistake a few years ago when I set up my Xbox Live account, and unfortunately mistyped the domain of my email address. (The mistake was missing an 'o' from googlemail, so now it says 'goglemail'. Somehow this was accepted at the time of making the
    mistake and now I can't change it to something correct.)

    I need to verify this address before I can add a correct email or other security information to my account, but it isn't possible to verify since it technically doesn't exist. Does anybody know a way I can get around the issue and add a new email? Or am
    I locked to a non-existant email forever?

    I have an account under [REMOVED - DO NOT POST EMAIL OR WLID]. THe account I use and that has all my up to date infor is the .com. I made a mistake when I set up my account and placed .com at the end of my email address. the .net account I have not used.
    I am not sure why it exist, all I did was change my email (i tried to correct it).

    So, I need to move all my info to the .net address - but how without making a bigger mistake.

    I would recommend contacting Xbox Customer Support via phone for this (if that is an option), and requesting to speak with their Accounts & Billing Team. Anything account related should be done over the phone with them just for security purposes.

    Explain the situation to them, and they should be able to correct the problem provided you can give them all the security information they ask for to verify your identity.

    Unfortunately all Enforcement issues can only be addressed by using the Case review on the email that was sent to you, other than that, there is no way to contact an Enforcement member.

    If you made a mistake on the first case review, you can make another after 24 hours.

    I recommend that you respond to the email you received regarding the refund request as it is the only way to contact the refund team again. If the refund request has already been approved or if you don't receive a response in time, then you should wait for the refund to be processed and subsequently repurchase the refunded game if you wish, since there would be no other way.

    Please note that in this public community forum, we are just players like you trying to assist and guide other players. This means we don't have access to other accounts or access to refund information of other users.

    Sorry, there's no exceptions when it comes to region changes. You'd have to wait the 3 months in order to change your account region to where it was previously.

    Please Note: Download your profile, purchasing games, and accessing Xbox LIVE in general may be restricted in unsupported regions. If you wish to play in that 3 month time frame, you'd need to make a new account in a region that is closer to
    your own that is officially supported by Xbox LIVE.
