Super Mario is not available on Xbox one, it is a Nintendo owned game so would require the purchase of a nintendo product such as a switch or ds. If you husband enjoys madden you have the option to purchase it on it's own outright, or you can also look into
EA access that will give him all EA sporting games for free after they have been out for a certain period of time, discounts on EA games and trials for new games as they are released.

Depending on the price range you are looking for you would be tossing up between the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X, a controller is included with the console, however you can get second controllers separately. I also recommend getting a charge and play kit,
it helps so much rather than having to have AA batteries on hand all the time.

Once again with headsets its a personal choice depending on price range that you are looking at, Corded headsets will be cheaper than wireless ones, and depending on what other games he will play will determine if he needs a spectacular headset vs something
decent. Look into Astro headsets and turtlebeech and go from there, honestly avoid the afterglow headsets, every person i know that has owned one has had issues with it.

Yes, you need to purchase the game separate.

If he wants to play the newest Madden, he would need a One S or X. (The X can play games in 4K). It would already come with what he needs accept maybe an extra controller.

If he wants to play Mario, he would need a Nintendo.

So, all I need to do is buy the X and this is all he would need? Would I need to buy the game?
