Madden Bundle Download Not Showing / Chat Stumped

Hello. I purchased an XBox One yesterday, the Madden 15 bundle, new, from a retail store (lst one they had). Before setting up the system (TV was taken by the wife), I read through the materials and scratched the code off the Madden 15 card included in
the box. It stated I could activate the download by signing on to live.xbox.com, which I did and it provided a message the code was successful. My wife finally went to bed, so I set up the system, activated the live gold account all under the same account
I redeemed the code on, but no downloadable content was shown. I singed back on to the live account on the desktop, and no transaction history for the code I just activated appeared. Interestingly, all I see is references to XBOX 360, not the One. I deleted
the profile from the xbox, set it up again, still no luck. I tried to redeem the code on the xbox, it said it was already used. If I go to the marketplace under the profile either on the xbox or on the desktop and try to "purchase" Madden believing it would
show as zero dollars, no luck, $59.99 is the only option.

I ended up on the xbox chat service. After some time, and profile deletions the chat agent indicated the code was not on my account. She then stated she did an "account refresh" and the code appeared on my account on her screen and shows it was successfully
redeemed. She stated give it 24 hours and I should appear in my marketplace for downloadable content on the xbox one. It's been 18 hours and I'm still waiting, no content yet, but I thought I would throw it out here for any additional ideas.

Deleting digital game from gamertag?

I bought the xbox one madden bundle and downloaded madden but the xbox started making a lot of noise so I had to take it back and get a new one. I want to download the digital code for madden from my new xbox but the madden from the xbox i took back is still
attatched to my gamertag. How to I completely delete the game (not uninstall) so I can download my new digital code? thank you.

 

Hey there Guy! That definitely sounds like an odd situation! Let's see what we can do to get things sorted.

To start off, I'd definitely be interested to know what you can see after waiting the 24 hours that the chat agent suggested. Are you still experiencing this issue? Or are things looking correct on your end now?

If you're still not seeing things showing up properly, I suggest heading over to
commerce.microsoft.com and checking your Transactions over on the left hand side. You can adjust the dates to show the window of time in which you redeemed the code.

Thank you. I got it fixed tonight with another session of chat. Really stupid on my end. The first support agent didn't recognize it, but the second one did within a minute.

The second agent noticed the code I redeemed was for the Ultimate Teams Packs only. When I scratched the card from the box, I just scratched a small portion in the middle, saw a portion of the code and scratched clear just the line for that code. After
the agent tonight said to look for another code card, I scratched the entire card, which I failed to do in the first place, where it revealed the second code above it for the main game download.

It's easy to blame EA or MS for not indicating on the card to scratch the whole box or that there is more than one code, but it was just my dumba** impatience that led me to only scratch that one line.

Moral of the story: Always scratch the whole box!
